Default 2005 SRT6 Coupe - Black, One Owner

For sale, an excellent and well maintained SRT-6.

Bought new in August of 2007 and it's been my daily driver ever since, until January of this year. As of today this car has 86,755 miles.

All original, no mods, never raced and has ice cold A/C. Replaced the following:

Headliner - about 2 or 3 years ago (still looks new)
Supercharger I/C Pump - about 2 years ago
Serpentine Belt Idler Pulley w/ belt - a few months ago.
Fuel Pump (leaking) - about a year ago

Has new tires as well: TOYO PROXES T1 Sport
Front: 225/40ZR18
Rear: 275/35ZR19

The car looks and runs excellent, no issues except a bit of peeling clearcoat on the front bumper, peeling silver on the left windshield trim/molding, some peeling roof trim paint (left side only) and one very slight (difficult to find) body ding.

The exterior photos were taken 1/2011 and the interior shots 1/2012

Price: $13,499.00

All comments and questions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have the engine cover; undamaged as well.

Also, this car has never been smoked in as long as I've owned it. No evidence of smoking during the first 19 miles either.

Last chance before it goes on ebay and elsewhere!

I'd like to make an offer but at that mileage I couldn't go higher than 10k. Its at this mileage that stuff starts going wrong usually unfortunately.

I'm looking at a couple of SRT both roadster and coupe and half the mileage at 12k and 14k. Its a nice looking car for sure but the market on these cars is soft. I'm going to wait till I can find one for the price I want.

Would you consider?

I understand waiting... I had to fly 1200 miles to get mine since I wanted one in black.

As I'm sure you already know, nice, well maintained SRT-6s are becoming fewer as the years go by. Although the market may currently be soft for these cars the few prime examples with low mileage will always fetch a premium price. And rightly so.

Regarding "things going wrong", these cars are now almost 10 years old so anything can happen... or not. Mine's been dealer serviced it's whole life and never abused (a requirement for a reliable daily driver).

Thanks for the offer but 10k is way too low for mine.

$13.5K for those miles - not gonna happen - sorry.

I agree that $10K is too low, but if someone offers $12K I'd take it in a hurry.

Lars sold his Black SRT6 Coupe recently, had 60,000 on it - took him almost a year, ended up letting it go for around $12.5K - and that car was REALLY clean.

I'm finding that financing an 05 is not all that easy. Bank of America will only go back to 2006 and smaller banks won't finance more than 3 years, and BOA will finance for under 3%, but smaller banks will get you for 6 or more...

Wells Fargo was a no on finance for my 04 2 years ago.. but reconsidered since we had a note with them on the Tahoe and a nearly paid off Malibu. That was borrowing 9k against an 11k value.

Well, I just looked at all 35 SRT6 Coupe listings on Autotrader and mine is price lower than almost every one of them.

It's on ebay now, so let's see what happens.

Thanks all, for the tips and comments.

Wade - how did your eBay adventures go? I am kicking the idea of listing mine- Black SRT-6 with 41,600 miles, very clean - in order to put a downpayment on a house in late 2014 and I know I have to get it listed soon if I am going to do that since it will take a year or more to sell.

Let me know!

It's on ebay right now and, as predicted, not doing as good as I hoped. One day and 2 hours left...

Lots of views and watchers tho.

I was watching it on eBay in the final hours. Selling a car on eBay is tough you just need to keep relisting it until you find the right buyer. I assume you also have ads on cars.com and craigslist, etc.?

Let's us know when you're willing to drop the price. There is a low mileage black roadster SRT6 in Nebraska for $16,500 right now on the forum. And, there is a graphite gray SRT6 coupe with 72K miles on Craigslist in Little Rock for around $14,000.

Someone will likely be willing to pay what he is asking, it might just take a while for the right buyer to come along.

Yeah, my reserve on ebay was $12,300. From my Cars.com ad "There probably isn't a car that's as much fun, nor as fast or handles as well for this price while looking so awesome and elegant at the same time."

That's my problem, I like to buy things that are fun, exciting and/or unusual. So a little patience on either end of ownership is what's needed. I'm trying to sell a near-perfect one-year only Ducati S4RS as well.

I'm hesitant to put it on C/L but what the hey.

As you said...just need to find the right buyer.

Thanks
