And have seen others run 13.2-13.5 @ 105-107 mph.

i ran 13.1@107 on the conti all seasons. i think with better tires and actually being able to come out of the whole hard and not lose traction then 12's would be easy. also this was done with 500-1,000 miles on the car. i had basically just got it. now its got a little more than 7,000. i'll see what i run this season.

the summer tires (pilots or contact 2s) are the standard non-optional tires.
Re: srt-6 1/4 mile times
i think with the extra traction of the summer tires it would have been enough to see 12.99 at least. it could just be wishful thinking but with a 107 mph it should be a high 12 second car. this year i might get some drag radials but i have to see what happens. yes the conti's are the optional tires. the one i got came with the conti's and the navi.

Has anybody tried using the front tires on the rear yet? The smaller diameter tire would make the 3:27 gear feel more like you had a 3:50 rear end. Somewhere on the forum there was a chart showing the SRT-6 used 3:08 gears. If that's true, then the smaller front tire would essentially make it a 3:25. Either way, it should still make the car pull a little harder in the 1/4 mile.
I realize knocking more than an inch of tread off in the rear isn't going to do anything for the traction problems an SRT-6 already has, so this experiment would probably work out better on a limited. But it may still work for an SRT-6 too.
Also, I doubt if the rear tires will clear the front fenders, so you may have to ask one of your friends (who owns a Crossfire) if ya can use his front tires for the day. Just try to get a set of Pilots for best results.
In the never ending saga of searching for lower and lower ET's. This one trick may be a no cost method of knocking off a couple of tenths.
I know one guy who used to race Pontiacs back in the 60's professionally, and he would put his windshield wipers in a straight vertical position (then pull the wiper motor fuse) for less wind resistance. I thought it sounded kind of worthless, until I noticed some Trans Am race cars of the late 60's doing the very same thing.

Re: srt-6 1/4 mile times
I went to a local 1/8 mile track with 2,400 miles on the car. The best I pulled was a less than stellar 8.98 @ 79.1 mph. Short times were all around 2.2 seconds.
I drove the car nearly an hour to get there and didn't give it any cool down time. That didn't help. I made 4 passes within 35 or 40 minutes and all the passes were within two tenths.
I had the ESP off and autostick in 1 but let it shift itself.
