SRT Nats
Anyone else going to Memphis July 27-28 for the Modern Mopar/SRT Nats, also called mopars @ the track. All DCX stuff welcome.
The SRT boys will be there, rumored to bring 2 cars everyone wants to see.
Last year they raced with us, and brought the Caliber R/T before it was shown elsewhere. bunch of great guys to talk tech with. ALSO,
I won the Quick 16 SRt class with my Mag, the Quick 8 slicks with my stroker Dakota and show with the CF, along with truck show with the Dak.
Yep, 1 better than a hat trick.
Be happy to win just 1 trophy this year racing the CF SRT6.

I was impressed with the way the Chicago chapter turned out, and the way you guys help each other, that is the way hot rodding is done. Wish you would have made it out in time to compete after the all nighter fixing your buddy's car. BUT I ran a few fun runs and the one that got me the 1st place, likely surprised some of the Mopar community that hadn't seen a CF on the track before.
It was a pleasure meeting you and seeing the SRT in a different color, I had not seen that shade prior to Nationals. Very Nice
For the rest of you, here's the way it went.
I turned 2 new (PB) in the SRT6 of (13.005) @ 104.79 with a killer 60 ft time of (1.576) For those that run a short track my 1/8 mile was 8.264 @ 81.13 MPH
Track time on the road course was plentiful for those that chose to run.
I did not do that part, but it was a blast watching Skittles, LX's, GC's and Vipers all on the track at once.

After helping out with fixing the clutch on my buddies srt4 and wrapping that up around 5 am, i was in no shape to want to stand in the heat and race the car again. Here is a pic with his transmission on the ground in the hotel parking lot.

I was really impressed with the time you ran, and if that 60 foot is correct, that really impressive!

I did get a chance to do a couple of laps out in the road course with Eric, the SRT suspension engineer. It was a blast to get the car out there and side ways thru a few turns. I thought that for it being the first time i have ever taken the car out on a road course that i did it pretty well and at a decent pace. When i returned to the paddock a lot of people came up and told me that i was really driving really fast threw sections which most slowed down. Which i thought i was slowing down too since it was thru the only walled/tire wall sections.

I got up to about 138 mph at the end of the front straight away, I would brake about 50 yards earlier then the braking cones that were set up for visual help because i didn't want to push it too much on the brakes to make the long right hand sweeper. I probably could of cracked 140 mph if i held it longer.
