Default Car back on the road

After the fun at Winton and my post of zero brakes last corner here is the damage report.

Popped a seal on the caliper piston which sent it THROUGH the pad (Potterfield R4) Because of the heat the pad had actually disinegrated as when we removed the front right caliper the pad compound litterally fell away from the backing plate.

Parts list

2 New Rotors
2 New calipers ( can't buy rebuild kits here in Australia)
Pads

That's the cost of going fast.
Unfortunatly my wife was there when I had to pick the car up and pay the bill, that's going to cost me hehehe.

After that I doubt you would want a rebuilt caliper up there - probably altered the metal!

That's not fun... I'm surprised that the SRT6 calipers blew a seal on you... But I can understand the pads falling apart with brake fluid soaked into them... Heck, that stuff eats the paint off your car...

Happy to hear you're back and running... Mine is off the road and getting a "heart transplant"...
