12.9 @ 109 mph showroom car
Re: 12.9 @ 109 mph showroom car
Looks like you got fans Juicee63.
SrtPowa - I'm curious if any of the other intakes are getting the whine from the motor like the needswings intake. I would assume so, but no one has pointed that out. Must be that the filter is in front. You can't hear it with the windows up, but with them down it sure sounds like an old roots blower with a gear drive. I love that sound. Normal driving it is as quiet as stock.

Well I'll let you know how mine sounds in a few days. Pretty sure it will sound like yours, since my filter is located in the same spot.

Thanks guys for the nice comments.
The 63 is N/A and is 514 hp at the crank and around 420 at the wheels. My car has an ECU tune and the champion motorsports rims(19 lbs). I recently added hi flo filters.
Funny the V8 is drowned out by the SC V6 , wait till you pulley that bad boy.
If you guys wanna join the Merc site its www.mbworld.org.
I for one as I have mentioned before here was impressed with the quickness of the fire!!I cannot wait to see her after some more mods, be safe

Ok Mr. Cruzinquick in his Crossfire just dismantled my CLS 63 514 bhp...
Great runs man , he hits a 12.6X@111, and a bunch of 12.7@110, beat me 5 straight and once by .4, oh my gawd this guy can drive.
so first round I win , 2nd round goes to the mighty crossfire, this car is very consistant. IMPRESSIVE

Got the hook up from good ol' Rob.
Here's the list---
Bigger and better intercooler pump
Bigger and better heat exchanger
Bigger and better injectors
Bigger and better Posi-Traction
OK here's the truth....
Just Needwings intake and the 178mm ASP pulley setup. Here's the breakdown so others can compare with the beloved track calculator I use so often. The best times for each mod from the slips I could find.
Track elevation 1245 Humidity 29.93% Temp 62 degrees
Fully Stock with stock tires 13.280 @ 106.208 (13.02@108.31)
Needswings with Stock Conti tires 12.736 @ 112.139 (12.48@114.36)
Needswings, ASP pulleys with DR's 12.524 @110.200 (12.28@112.39)
The numbers in (parenthesis) are the adjusted numbers to Byron Raceway where Chi-Town SRT6 layed down his awesome runs. I still have all the rest stock, no cutting of my exhaust. Hope this helps you guys out.

Sorry no runs with ASP and stocks, but I will get some soon. I really think I could've ran at least in the 12.6's with DR's and just the needswings intake. That was the single biggest E.T. reducer of all of the upgrades. I am still trying to figure out how Chi-Town put down his time with stocks. Now that was driving. Way to go Abe.

Re: 12.9 @ 109 mph showroom car
Nice breakdown! Now that Brian has prooved our cars can deliver enough fuel, I'm thinking the easiest way to make big power with or without an upgraded pulley would be a shot of the juice. Alot of my friends are V8 guys and they have been telling me to juice it since the day I bought it. Plus with the 185mm pulley a little shot of N20 would help keep those IATS in check.
