Jane at Putnam Park
My wife and I met up with Jane today and had a great time! I didn't get to see her car on the track because I was in it. Most pics are courtesy of my wife. With the sun 'in and out' made it a perfect day. Thanks to Jane for having us come along. She did a great job. I am sure we will be there again some time. James & Tammi.

its a gorgeous setting...someone just put a track in the middle of a pasture...white fence all around...grass is cut nice...clean facility for sure...now, if I could just find an outlaw track for round track...LOL
Jane was talking about this car several times... imagine a V8 5.5L SRT6, but then it wouldn't be a 6 would it?

Curious Jane, you said no convertibles at this track, this looks like a hard top roadster. Hardtop roadsters don't count?

Jane,
I have had offers for ride alongs down at the TMS in September but I hope to ride a set of laps around the track with you.

James: I didn't know it was a hard top roaster mercedes. I guess it is OK; I really don't know. I hate the rims on that car, but otherwise, you can see the similarities with the crossfire, can't you? Man, I would love the have that engine, but then as you know, I have concerns about the structure of the Crossfire and whether it can hold up to the demands on roadracing.
I talked with my racing mechanic and I do believe the bearings are going out on the passenger side. So, I have a private appointment with him. We'll do the tests for bearings and take off the tires as I want to show him all the rubbing that is going on. I know he does not want to elevate that car cause it is not an easy job. I'm thinking a big sledge hammer will do the job underneath.
Valk: If I can get three runs in, you can ride along.

Jane, You asked about the line-up studs for putting your wheels back on. I made some today. I will have them at Evansville or the Dragon.
I used 100mm length so the rear wheels will be easier to get on. 8.8 hardened.
If anyone else would like one or two, let me know. They run $3 each. I cut the head off, tapper the end and cut a slot in it if you would need a screwdriver to remove it, but generally you shouldn't
I can bring them to the Dragon if you let me know ahead of time.

I'll buy 2 of these at the Dragon
I am not sure of the "new" rules for selling items on the forum. I am only going to order and modify enough for anyone that wants them. I am not in the bolt business! I will bring them to the Dragon for anyone that wants them. Jane I will have yours at Evansville.

I think you need to do a separate thread for the bolts.

I would love a set of these things, just been too lazy to make them - and yours look plenty stout. Bring to the dragon, I will bring some $$$. Thanks.
