we lost a great indy car driver today R.I.P Dan

The in car shots were unbeivable. Pieces cars and parts fly'n by.

 

Haven't seen a replay of the crash...but what a nice kid he was....real tragic...RIP in piece Dan...

 

Sad, but he went out doing what he loved at least...

 

What happened? Obviously it was a crash but that happens all the time racing. Very sad for his family.

 

This was a gimick race. They offered him $5 mill to start in the back and if he won he got the 5 mill to split with a fan. He had passed I think 10 cars before the wreck. All the drivers were complain'n that 33 or 34 cars on the track at one time was too many. The wreck took out 15 cars. He went airborne and cockpit first into the catch fence. Most of the drivers and tv guys were say'n it was the worse wreck they had ever seen. A lot of drivers and pit crews were cry'n after the wreck. He was a good kid with a great furture aahead of him. Those little cars go super fast. I think they said he was do'n like 210 at the time. Eurocharge was at the race I think.

A really sad day. Dan was one of the best class acts in the sport. He seemed like such a nice guy when he won the Indy 500 this year. that was the ugliest wreck in a long time.

 

A tragic accident! I have not witnessed a crash that severe in some years. I pray that his family will find the strength to pull through this awful tragedy and find strength, courage, and faith.
