had a little bit of fun last night but i want more I had to put my intake filter in the engine bay cause my supercharger was sucking my couplings closed,, long story later ,,anyway i did get in some good runs the temp was 72 degrees , i had put a single intake on my car,(filter in engine bay) removed the sl55 intake and made three runs,,you can see by the times they were back to back ,,7:46=11.51,,7:52=11.59,and 7:59 11.56. then i changed the intake to the sl55 with no tubes on it, Hot air was intering right above the valve cover,, Needswings and I are working on a duel intake for my car. the runs were 11.4's and again back to back,, ok one I spun and ran a 12.0 @ 120mph on one of the runs. here are the time slips. will have videos soon. and a nice video on my water and IAT temps. jim

Great times Jim.... if I hit 11.4 here they would throw me off the track until I had a cage installed..... but I would sure be smiling BIG!

 

here on Wednesday they let everyone run,, like the GTR's that run in the 10.0's ,,Mike i got a lot of wheel hop ,,only during my burn out almost like i had traction control on, any idea??

 

Awesome Jim! Just think what will happen with cooler air and a negative DA. I'll be at the track tomorrow and it should be in the 50's. Just hope there is traction so I can challenge my 11.74 . I should be getting my Mickey Thomson's soon to replace my worn out Nittos to hopefully hook up better.

Jim, did you get into the water box...sometimes, dry slicks will let you hop as you know. Just a thought...

 

yes in water but on the outer edge, first went around the water, then backed up JUST into the water,,so my front tires don't get wet so they don't slide on power brake.

jim look at the dr's. if the wear pattern is even across the tread drop it a lb at a time un til the edges show wear. then up it 1 lb. the hop is prolly from the dr's not getting wet enough. back thru the box then drive out

 

The only time I saw any hop was after I burned all the water off and the tires were hot and sticky.....

 

that v8 should blow thru any hop. when i set the pressure at 18 lbs i can do burnouts all day at 3000 rpm. drop it to 16 lbs and the burnouts are much harder and shorter as the dr's start to grab

 

at 16 lbs the car wanders so bad i was hoping i stayer off the wall,,,at 17 it did the same not as bad at 20 lbs i still get good traction and the car stays in the middle of the track,, all 16,17,18,19 & 20 nets me 1.75 60'. also the track was not prepped at all,, got Mike R's links will install and set to .o on chamber that should make the tires flat to the ground. jim
