BobaFettm,
If you're coming, recommend bringing:
helmet
air gauge
sun tan lotion - it's suppose to be sunny
chair - if you wanna rest
water to drink
blue painters tape or shoe polish (for numbers)
and don't fill your gas tank full...
$$ to pay for registration...

See ya

Boba.... I hope you read this before you head out.... DON'T add the pressure to your tires until your at the event! Use the compressor that came with the car. Driving around with that much pressure on the streets is not a good idea. And make sure to lower your tire pressure before you head home.

Have a Blast!!!

Woot! Just got back! I killed a beautiful family of cones... a mother, father, son and daughter all in one swift motion on my 4th lap

I pulled off the best time my first time with a 31.50... then the 4th was horrid cuz of the cones mistake! ... and the last lap I pulled a straight 32.00... I have all the numbers + pictures and movies!

It was really nice meeting Landho! and we meet another Xfire owner who also goes to OU with me... never knew it... but he even lived in the dorms also likewise... so it was a great day! I didn't stay to watch Land! I feel bad about that because he taught me a lot and really helped me out my first time through! But I had to leave because of family business... but it was a great time and I'll get the pics up in awhile! Might be later because I have a REALLY busy day ahead of me!

I told you that you would have a blast. I especially like seeing more Crossfires getting out and stretching their legs. I'll gomout on a limb here and say that I bet your hooked already... LOL  I know I was after my first run.

Bobafettm,
You did well. If you come to the SCCA events, we can find experienced drivers to ride with you and give you tips, or have them drive your car and you can see what can be accomplished...or you can ride in their car. But you'll need to plan for a whole day (till 5pm) because you will need to work. I was the last car out today and ended with 29.5xx. I think someone in our class got 29.0xx. The next scca is at pontiac silverdome in 2 sundays from today. Check myautoevents.com. They start early. But I think it's better organized. The coneheads reports that they will survive to jump out in front of another car another day

Tire pressure was 39f, 38r

See ya.

Good Job, as another XF owner told me "welcome to the world of autocross"

Keep up the good work we need more XF on the track.

Hey, tip for today, today I ran 39 front and 39 rear and it made the car alot more predicable, gave the front a little more bite with those big rear tires!

Were you able to run with your center caps on? looks like they were in place in your photos!

later.

Woo!!! Excellent.

I'm glad you had fun.

Don't worry about those cones, it was their fault for gettin in the way... THEY obviously didn't read the disclaimer...

I can answer that...
That was another guy...with the black 6 speed, not Bobafettm. He did well too, for his first time out...

Yah I took mine off because Land did I just pretty much followed everything he said since he was the experience driver! ... I'm very excited to get out there again soon! and next time I will work the course too! I felt bad because I left to head home after the race... it was nice of them to even put something like this on! ... but i would really like to practice with only a few cones somewhere.. just to learn how to handle the xfire even better by myself... but i dont know if its legal to just pop some cones up in a empty lot and practice

thanks for all the support all! I suggest everyone to get out there and do this!

SCCA requires that your lugs are inspected for condition and security when you go through tech. That's the primary reason for removing your center caps. Secondary reason is to prevent hub caps from coming off on the course and causing a delay while it's retrieved by a course worker.

LOL ... I like how you said its the flashy stuff that never wins in the SCCA Wes!

I have my videos posted up on my site... they are on that page ill direct link them...

Here's me being flashy!! The powerslide/drift actually worked great for getting me around the next point... but it made me come in to fast on the final big turn which i killed 4 cones at! ... I just thought I'd let you know you were 100% right!
