Second time out you should lower your altitude!

With that altitude, I recommend you install a 178 crank pulley to compliment the SC pulley. Your car is struggling to get enough air in the engine to make big power.

Hey, it's only 600 miles to someplace below 1000' I may head to Topeka this summer to race with my Uncle and cousin.

Have a chance to race it again at all evan? Managed a 14.010 and broke the 100mph mark finally this friday at the GJ track. Really suprised me because it was a good 15 degrees warmer then the last time we went out.

No, I've been on the road for two weeks and haven't been able to drive the car. I'll try again hopefully this summer.

Was this in a 6? I understand the whole altitude thing robbing power, but a 14 sec. 1/4mi seems slooooow. What was your 60' and reaction time? Kinda lovin' the fact that I live in the Southeast!

Sorry for the long reply time. Yes, this is in the SRT, bone stock. being at 5K feet is evil to all of my cars. lol

Reaction was .011
60' was 2.168
1/4 was 14.010
trap was 100.84

Your times look spot on for the altitude. I ran 14.18 @100 bone stock at Bandimere which is a bit higher than you are (5830'). With just the needswings intake I ran 13.98. With a sc pulley and a tune I ran 13.52 @ 105. The actual altitude is bad enough the effective altitude is more like 8700' on a warm day.Thats 1/4 less air than sea level. If I could run at a temp of - 40 F that would be a zero DA.Probably wouldn't get any traction though.

My best that day with Modless and Evan was 13.56 and I was spinning half way down the track. I went back up to Bandimere 3 weeks later and did a better job at the line and went 13.11 but the Altitude sucks all the life out of a car. I was hoping to get into the 12's but traction on street tires is bad......I need some slicks but I don't do the 1/4 enough to invest in them and of course a wavetrack would help as well.
We need to go again Evan and Modless. maybe the 3rd time is the charm first 2 didn't make me very happy. My best just isn't good enough so far.
Reaction was .008
60' was 1.93
1/4 was 13.11
trap was 109.24

street tires pirelli 305/30/19
euro s/c pulley
custom DCAI 3"
euro tune

Agreed that we need to go again. Pueblo has a track as well and they run every Friday evening in the summer. 4600' is much better than 5900'.
