This incredible 2-DAY event will be held on September 14th & 15th, 2013 at the Prestigious Heaven’s Landing Airport (www.heavenslanding.com) in Clayton, Ga. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains this airport is more of a work of art then a place to land your plane……….or in our case race your cars!! Come join us for 2 FULL DAYS of, side-by-side, HALF MILE racing at this rare and exclusive location. All of our participants will be given a chance to take their vehicle’s Top Speed down Heavens Landing’s private 5069 ft runway and race door-to-door against the competitor of their choice!! See what it’s finally like to race without the restrictions of speed limits, on what is basically your own private interstate in the mountains!! Pricing:

Drivers:

$195/ea (per day) in advance before April 19th, 2013, or $350 for a 2-Day Pass.

$225/ea (per day) in advance after April 19th, 2013, or $400 for a 2-Day Pass.

Spectators:

$15/ea (per day), or $25 for a 2-Day Pass.

I'm at the 1:00 mark, lined up against a Z06 with about ~600 HP. I lost horribly, as expected LOL

3:45 is Anthony, leading a beautiful Camaro. You can see Anthony getting the jump on him at the 4:33 mark

At the 5:20 mark, it shows me and Anthony in one of the closest races all day. We actually shook the timing photo-eye, I think they had to recalibrate it after our run

 

nice bragging rights. You have one sweet ride too.

 

Thanks man! Nowhere near as fast as Anthony's beast, but it holds its own.

OK guys only a week away from this event. Anthony, John and Steve are you all running on Saturday? Easley 15 and I are planning to drive down and lend a little Crossfire (you too Steve) support and enjoy the day. Will we be able to park with yall and what time should we plan on getting there? I will give Howard Carter, Don Barbie and a few other members a call to see if they would like to join us. Any one who would like to come along would be welcome, maybe we could take the opportunity to make it a gtg.

Are there food options at the site and are coolers welcome? This could be a lot of fun.

 

If Easley and BigKid are going to watch I might as well drive down as well.

 

Good news Nick. I will be talking to Howard and Don Barbie and a few others about comming. Trying to get a little GTG going. John is going to get us some info about when to arrive and food and drink options at the track.

 

I sent an email to the event's main organizer and included your original text... I specifically asked about the cooler allowances and/or concessions.

Entry fee for spectators is $15, cash only.

Last year, there were some hotties directing everyone where to park based on your participation level (driver/spectator). I think the spectators take a road off to the right, which puts you off to the southern side of the runway.

Will advise everyone once I have a response from Blake.

Hey John!

You are correct your buddies will need to park in a separate area near the beginning of the runway in the grass. They can bring coolers but this year we have really ramped up the food vendors and we will have 3 on-site both days. In regards to your wife, yes, you will just pay her admission at the gate!

I would recommend just bringing some cash, instead of having to lug around a big cooler. Shade will be an issue so bring sunscreen if you're sensitive to UV.

Thats great Mark, that makes 4 Crossfires so far. It will be a big bummer if we can't hang out with John, Anthony and Steve.

 

I was telling Nick, there shouldn't be any reason why not. Most of the spectators had to park on the right side, BUT there were spectators crossing over to the "fun" side all day.

As long as you don't walk in front of one of those Alpha GT-Rs, you're good.

 

Looks & "sounds" like a great event! Especially like the variety of performance cars in attendance. Better than going to a car show where everything sits still! We've got another commitment for this weekend. Otherwise, would plan to attend. Looking forward to some great pics & videos.
