Default Had a 2005 Maxima SE for dinner

A couple of hours ago I had for dinner a 2005 Maxima SE.

Here in Mexico we have a lot of speed bumps, I was minding my own when all of the sudden I saw a couple of Xenon headlights racing to get side by side with me.

Immediately I knew this guys' intentions, so after a speedbump, we hit it.

I had him by almost the whole lenght car all the time, we only did it once (he was too scared to do it again), we had to brake for another speedbump at about 70 MPH.

Poor guy, his 265 HP is no match for my 215 (he didn't know I had it chipped to 236 HP) car.

It felt good!

Too bad, you think so? Too good my car is not styled by the Jetsons like most new Nissan cars and it won't look old in 3 years.

Even modded my car is only doing 236HP, the fact the it's faster than a 265HP car is not bad at all don't you think?

I have to ask, what is a 350Z owner (or lover) doing in an XF forum?

I could't care less about a 350Z forum and what goes on in there.

Nissan makes nice car like the 350 and no doubt the maxima is a quick car,but my stock auto coupe has taken several max's here in Miami. Also I have noticed more and more what a classic design the Xfire has. Maybe one of us will get our Xfire to 408 hp and do it all with the best of them.

I think the Xfire is as cool as a Z, top points for styling and design ect but I dont think its faster, in every magazine test it was'nt and the specs also prove that. I keep reading about people going crazy for mod chips and I just wonder why... but its down to personal preference. I agree the rest of the Nissan lineup is ugly/shiny plastic looking but I think the Z was very well designed, by real designers (if you research you'd know) I dont think the same people who did Maxima's where from the Z studio. (is'nt it obvious by lookin?!)

i used to have a maxima and i raced my friends 6 speed xfire, and actually i beat it. but to say the least the handling in a crossfire is great. i sold my 03 maxima because i wanted i stick car, and i was torn between a crossfire and 350z, nevertheless i went with the z because its more bang for the buck under 30k more hp handles just as well, i'm not flamin the xfire though its a nice car ,for me the z was a personal preference and wut im doing in here is just checking out other forums because i love cars.

the spec v is almost as fast as the xfire in 1/4 mile and 0-60. automatic xfire runs 7.1 0-60 and a15.2 1/4 mile where as the spec v runs a 7.2 0-60 and 15.3 1/4 mile, not much of a difference if u ask me. and the manual isnt that much faster 0-60 6.7 1/4 mile 14.7 an 04 maxima runs 6.3 0-60 and a 14.8 quarter mile, they are pretty close so its a drivers race...

stock specs run high 15's, all day. im sure you guys came over from freshalloy.com, a nissan forum where the spec v still gets ragged on.just because one or two guys ran a 15.3 in there specs by dropping the clutch from 7k on drag radials doesnt mean thats what it runs. just about every rag puts it in the high 15's.

But, with the right Salsa it might be hotter than the Z.

u don't need drag radials to run low 2 mid 15's it depends on if ur a good driver or not. a good drive will be running low to mid 15's all day and at 7k u'll be hitting the rev limiter and blowing ur limited slip spinning tire too,so nobody launches at 7k except for high reving cars like the rx8 or s2000,not even sti's....
