Default Another Test Lap Video / 2 Crossfires

Here's another video with SASKINS in the lead while I was trying to see what differences there were with his stock suspension, and my race suspension. Notice the amount of understeer and body roll he has with the stock suspension.

Sorry the upload is low resolution with no sound, but this is the lagest file the forum will allow you to upload.

Hell ya, Dude that day sucked *** man. It was a real big let down. I knew the susspension was going to be an issue, but I didn't know it was going to b that bad. The 3 laps I did be for throwing in the towel, I was driving on the defensive side, as apposed to the affensive side. Man I was running for that inside line.

saskins needs to take driving (cornering) lessons before he goes out on the track again!

What the hell line was he driving? Enter low and turn late?

Hey CyberGreg,
You know you should feel the suspension on the car befor you start talking SH**. It has gotten progressively worse as time has gone by. It's now starting to rub on the wheel wells in any sort of off cambered turns. Its going up my *** sideways right now, SO please don't twist the knife any deeper.

Greg: I was forcing SASKINS to take wide hard turns at speed so we could view the OEM suspension body roll compared to the (work in progress) racing set-up I have on my car. As you can see, the OEM suspension has alot to be desired for road racing. As far as that goes, I'm still trying to dial-in my suspension properly and it was a great learning experience to see how far I've taken the suspension from the factory standard.

We are finding that the fine adjustments get screwed-up by the ETC, though turned off, will still activate itself during throttle turns, or power slide turns. This is all a work in progress and still needs some fine tweaking and perhaps even pulling the ETC sensor.

This video shows, not driver capability, but the huge difference in the OEM vs. racing set-up I have on my car... I hope you take another close look at the line I am able to hold through the chicane and sweepers compared to SASKINS OEM suspension. This was the purpose of the video, so we could guage the work we have done on the handling of the car.

There are alot of components other than aftermarket springs, dampers etc. that have gone into my car since that video was shot... now it handles like a track car and IMO can't be touched by any other Crossfire in the twisties !!!

Very cool..... once you're done setting up your car you've got to make a new vid with saskins following and filming you! That would be very cool.....

Right on! We definitely want to do a longer,& more exciting version. One of the things that sucks is, when upploading the video to forum. It has to be compressed like crazy, so that it can fit the file size limits. So it ends up tiny, and looking like crap.

X'ed: Chill out ... The last thing on my priority list of things to do is take time out of my day to scan the dyno print-outs...

I'm happy with what I got going with the CIS and will get you the #'s when I get a chance...

Seems like this forum has turned into a bunch of lurkers....

i think you guys are a little sensative. it was meant to be a straight forward question. im just saying that if you developed your own product i would think you would want to test it yourself. i guess that makes me a "big dork". take it easy, chief. it just seems like if you wanted to sell them you would do some performance tests. a gtech run takes what? ten minutes total.... relax and read posts without assuming they are negative. im one of the few who never ragged on you.

Hey X'ed Dude, In my last post, everything that I had written was all in good fun. Hence the LOL, I wish you could write in different scripts, so you can see what the real intent is with our words. It suck because you don't know me personally, so you can't really tell if I'm being sarcastic or not. So I applogize if it came off as sensitive. And to clear this thing up with the test's. I have done extensive reaserch and testing, with what I have been developing. The only reason for even saying," Ask HDDP", was purely based on I wanted you to hear from someone who actually has it. So its not me(the person who designed it) who is pumping it up. Because to be honest I'm thinking I'm a little one sided at this point with it you know. Its like a child to me. This is one of my babies. Well my Son Ryan kicks it *** any day of the week, but this has been a close second in my book. My wife may not feel the same way though. Lets just say, it hasn't just cost a SH** load of money to do the R&D. Its almost cost me a marriage as well.
Side Note* I have no Idea were HDDP got the whole Lurker thing. That was kind of out of left field for me too. So don't take it personally. If he doesn't want to post the Dyno sheets I'll find my originals and post them for you brotha man.

The "LURKER" thing came from the fact that he has absolutley no pictures of himself and / or his car "CROSSFIRE". Nor does he list his build #.... And I know that REDCROSS would have checked his build # if he joined XFI, but alas... No XFI membership either !!!

As X-ed stated, he's been a member of this forum longer than either of us have... I could be the longest standing member of the "MERMAID" forum and still not ever screwed a mermaid... LOL

It just pisses me when I found out that some of these other forum members who were posting opinions, suggestions, recommendations, etc. don't even own the car... !!! Not saying that X'ed doesn't own one !!! Of course he's interested in our attempts to MOD. the car, so is everyone else... I'm sure the DC people in Orange County, CA watch this forum very closely... It's a marketing, R&D resource...
