Did it! Got my 11 tonight.
I've joined "club 11" tonight and am celebrating as we speak. The evening started normally with some 12 flats. Then I had a couple of passes with some wheel hop. That's never happened before, so I decided to leave the line in 2 steps. Lift of the brake, half throttle and mash it to the floor in quick succession. the 60' was 1.848 1/8th 7.763 @ 93.23 and 1/4 11.992 @ 117.40. I'll post the slip tomorrow and hopefully a video will appear. In the heat of Puerto Rico, I feel good.

Congrats on getting into the 11's, I take it you were running racing slicks and the track was prepped nicely. Just by chance, when you say half throttle, what RPM were you leaving at before going WOT?
I'm looking forward to seeing your slip and finding out what the secret is to launching these cars!

I leave around 1500 rpm. I was using Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials at 16 psi. Normally I just mash the pedal to the floor but it wasn't working tonight. The wheel hop convinced me to change for this night. Hop = breaking something = very bad.

Good lord, I didn't see that! It was 84º with thunderstorms in the distance. We had a real light show but it stayed offshore to the southwest of the track. (track runs west to east.) No wind to speak of, you know that calm before the storm type of wet heavy air. Humidity was 84%. I calculate a DA of around 2065.

Thanks everyone. The new goal is 11.8. Next rental I'm taking a cooler full of ice and a fan. All I'll need to find is someone to park beside that has a generator.

In the 11's is all you need. Everything less is just a bonus. Great job!!
I have no idea how you guys are getting good times by holding the brake and bringing up the rpms...
I read your tips in many threads the forum and I just cant grasp the technic. Just put it in drive and when the light goes green roll on the gas is the only thing that has worked for me so far.

Thanks Rob. I hope your working on more go fast goodies for owners like me that want to go faster every year. Now to knock a few former owners off the top 20 on drag times.

Too much POWERRRR Jim. The tires start spinning if I pass 1800 rpm with the brakes mashed. The ABS/stability control system seems to penalize me if that happens. It's like when I'm giving it gas and left foot braking at the same time in Solo. A little is OK but too much and the computers can't decide what to do for a few moments and the lap is ruined. However your on the money. I'm loosing lots of time off the line. 1.848 is pitiful with drag radials. When I learn, I'll be hunting Anthony's non nitrous times. (A guy can dream) Thanks again everyone!

If you are at WOT and not spinning your tires, you can't launch any faster without more power, lower gearing, or higher stall converter.
CONGRATS ON MAKING IT INTO THE 11 SECOND CLUB!!
