What injectors and pump are you running?

stock and stock. SL55 upgrade first? Or just do what you've figured out for stacked? Do you have fuel pressure being logged?

You likely need both, pump first. I don't log fuel pressure.

Are my logs strange to run rich early and then lean out so aggressively? What would cause that? ECU pulls timing to add extra fuel but then runs out of pressure and/or it max's IDC towards the end of the run? I can afford the pump, but for the other $700 will have to wait.

I logged again today just regular driving and everything looks like it is reading normally to include the boost sensor. There is a dyno right up the road and will probably work with them for the fuel issue before the track again.

I saw a video of what happens to an injector when it goes static, when fuel pressure is increased and prior to going static. Some injectors seem to loose the pattern, some almost stop spraying completely, etc. Sending the injectors to be cleaned and checked helped my AFR's but it's not cheap. $20 to $25 per injector. Upgrading the fuel pump helped a little. The injectors seem the way to go. I've resisted because of the tuning. Every tune I've had done in the past required several retunes to make me happy. Getting the injector's dialed in remotely seem's to be a challenge that I don't want to tackle until I have no other choice. As far as your times. I'd expect a few more mph and I understand the traction issues. I only managed one 12 second run with street tires. As I added power I went slower. The wavetrac got me into the 12's. The drag radials got me into the 11's. I'd buy the drag setup before doing anything else. If you don't plan on adding more power you may be able to fix your problem by following my path and retuning. (SL55 pump, injector service) I'm sure you realize that going faster is an addiction. Now that I'm in the 11's I want more. For years all I wanted was the trophy number and now that I have it …… I want more.

Les

I don't think I am done yet either Les. Thanks for the feedback on the injectors.

I already have the SL55 fuel pump but still have the problem with fuel pressure dropping off at 5700rpm on the dyno during a dyno tune. Have now added Robs adjustable fuel pressure regulator and the unregulated filter. Waiting to get back on the dyno. Maybe this week weather permitting.

That would be a great comparison if you could get logs from the dyno before and after.

I also went with the SL55 pump and am installing the adjustable regulator in the spring but as I understand it, we don't want our injectors duty cycle over 85%, that leads me to believe that bigger injectors are a must for top performance.

Snow dumped here so that means everything on hold till spring. Took the liability insurance off it today.
Ive been told that injectors, scaling them and tuning for them is a whole new can of worms. Not ready to go there until the dyno tune proves them necessary...........in spring`.
