This time I could not race. My Gearbox did not liked the power in the engine and the Kleemann dif
could not hold any more. M/T ET Street, byas ply, so we are rebuilding the gearbox with more discs, 1500 nm, and installing a
Quaife lsd. And tuning the TCU. Exciting. Do it again, and do it right.

By the way. The SL55 AMG get 1141 nm at 2300 rpm before the Crank Pulley
fell off. new dyno soon

 

First race with a rebuild gearbox and tuned TCU. All limits is removed in the TCU and gearbox. All restrictions is gone. Full load.
It feels like getting 200 hp more. And that's what it's all about. Scary. No grip until fourth gear.

What parameters have you changed in the Tcu?

Oil pressure?
Running the blue solenoids?
Torque limiter, what value?

The reasen is obvious why they line up like top fuel dragster. Same problem. LOL. One of the car is 4 sec,1/8 mile car.

My Intercooler started to leak. Bad timing. The S/C pressure went out through the Intercooler
Better luck next year.

There is a big difference between nr 1 and nr 8.
Nr 1 is a 7 sek car on 1/4 mil, and can not go to MCDonalds and by a Big Mac.
Nr 8 is a plain car with AC and music. A normal car. That you use every day

Great launch at 3 mins in the SLK! Someone tell the guy at the 9 1/2 min mark that you only want to heat drag radial to ambiant in most instances. Overdoing the burnout makes them greasy and almost useless. You can almost pick the winner by betting on the guy with the most conservative burnout.
