1/4 Between Root & Askins
I really Like Solvang, its a cute little town.
Dan, there are no tracks up there in Ventura County is there? I have never heard of anything, but you never know. Someone could privately own something. That would be an interesting investment to look into. I mean hell there is a lot of land up there that could be used. I know however that the land is would cost you your Soul but it could be cool.

Saturday sounds fine, as long as my transmission is fixed. What happened was... some how the heat shield that covers the 13 pin harness connector. Some how it came off in my garage, and when I was driving I picked something up off the ground that wrapped up on it and twisted the SH*T out of it. The Van Damage that was done was it broke every single connector on the electronic hydraulic board. So it pretty much just stomped on the heart of the car. This is one of the great examples of why Drive by wire can bite you in the as*.
Sure, I'm still soldering right now. It has been quite a challenge, from not having the right solder, to having to figure out each one of the 13 pins, or the 13 different functions. So I have that all figured out, and I'm just putting the pieces back together. If I can get it done by tomorrow, and feel that it is capable of running at 100% I will let you know as soon as possible. What would you be doing over by Magic Mountain? I live about a mile and a half up the road from Magic. I'm sure you have heard of Stevenson's Ranch. I live up over in there.
Hey Xed,
Why don't you design and manufacture something out of thin air, and then we'll talk about time. It's really easy to judge when you don't know all that it takes to do what I have done. Don't you all realize, that it's not like I ripped off someone else's design, and called it my own. There were no examples, no nothing. So yes, it takes time to get to the end result. I could have given you a piece sh*t, and charged you 700.00 bucks for it like some companies in the UK do. No, that's not how I work. I do things from the stand point of what would I want to see, if I saw it in a store. The other thing is, I don't have the same resources, as say K&N has. I'm an independent company.
Honestly, I challenge anyone out there to design/develop & manufacture a working performance product, that hasn't already been done for the Mercedes Benz Engine.
Anyone who does has certainly earned my respect and admiration.

yeah that was tough, i understand. but you still haven't gotten numbers at the track with the car after numerous request that resulted from your delay with a dyno, which is not hard to get, either of those things...like i said, don't take it personal, i'm just sure this will take some time.
Do you remember the reasons why, I didn't have the numbers for you right when you requested them.
1 I tried to use a G Tech, found that I had a faulty cigarette lighter, so the numbers that were coming out of that were NG.
2. Getting on to a Dyno, isn't the cheapest thing in the world. I'm not an independently wealthy man. On top of that after getting on the Dyno. I moved and all my info on the car some how ended up going into storage.
3. The reason why I wouldn't go to a track. The closest track to me is at an elevation of about 5500. Now coming from about 1700, the numbers would actually reflect the cars new found performance.
So it's not as easy to get those things as you think. Another side note. I have since been offered to use dyno's by a couple different people when ever I want. I have taken them both up on the offers. What I found was exactly what I was worried about to start. Depending on the calibration of the Dyno, it can put out what ever number you want to see. On one Dyno I put out numbers that said, that I gained 25 Hp and 15 FT LBS, and on the other I was in the same ball park as my very first Dyno Session. Gains of about 12-15 HP, and about 9-12 Ft LBS.
I trust my first Dyno Run's, only because I was getting to use a very well known Performance Specialist for Ford's Dyno as a favor. His Equipment that he uses, is the best that you can buy.
This isn't my full time job, I also put in 14 hour days working in the Motion Picture Business. It's only recently that it is developing into a possibility for it to become a full-time deal.
