After doing more suspension research it seems that the front suspension setup is a problem that would take a rework to incorporate more caster, stock is apparently only 5 degrees when 8 would help turn in and increase steering weight and feel. So, for what it's worth I claim problem solved but no practical solution available. So I'm going to have to pass on a very low mileage SRT-6 at a great price, a very rare opportunity here in Oz where 'collectors' think that rare cars will appreciate in value if they put theirs up for sale at a stupid price.

As for a 370Z, air flow is the key to cooling them, properly designed venting is what is needed not giant size coolers shoved in front of the radiator. There are people who have done this. Oh and Les, I struck a lot of your helpful posts when doing the research, you have been around Xfires for a while.

A solution to the caster and steering problem would simply be to transplant a suitable setup from another car using it's front xmember complete with rack and suspension. I did that with a S15 setup onto a 280ZX but that was then when nothing was impossible

Pointless post here but I now regret not buying the SRT and modding the suspension and steering as previously mentioned. In retrospect it would have been a more suitable car for me than a 370Z. Anyway, if there is a lesson here it is to get a good SRT while you can and look after it. They are not making any more cars like the SRT.
