Default Fun run in with a GTO

Ok, I know street racing is looked down upon, but I'll tell this anyway. Coming back around 1:30 am last night and run into a bunch of cars. An integra, cougar, maxima, and some other ricey thing. Raced them in 6th and easily won. Now the fun comes, a little bit after that there was a newer GTO (dual exhaust in back). We were going like 105 and pulled up next to each other. Put it in 5th, and floored it. Well we all know the outcome, but I redlined 5th and reached our speed limited 145ish and he just blew passed me. And kept going. So yea, we all knew what was coming, but wow it was so fast. So how can I improve that top end?

400 hp versus 215 hp...don't mix.

your 6 cylinder just ran out of juice.

145 mph in 5th? top speed of 150 (limited) and 6 gears, and 6th gear would be used for??? at 105 you should of been able to get into 4th, wouldn't of been there real long, but long enough.

blew passed you at 145? hmm, i wouldn't expect it to blow completely pass you, plus the to are top speed limited at 155.

Yea, I guess shifting into 6th wasn't assumed, 5th tops out at 110-115ish? Was trying to keep my eyes on the road...

And about that 215 vs. 400 thing, we have a slight weight advantage and we look better, so its not all that bad.

Maybe that's what the GTO driver is saying to himself as he sees your lighter, nicer-looking car as a tiny spec in his rear view mirror...

its more than a slight weight advantage. 170 mph top speed is what i meant by us '04 guys having 170. no limiters.

You mean stock internals? because typical is stuff/cams/ is not a stock motor.

When I first saw the thread I expected to see a thread about a stock crossfire beating a gto. Since stock crossfires with just their uncanny speed can out accelerate s2k's, 350z's, srt-4's, 05 mustang GT's, GTO's was the next logical step.

I figured if I posted that I won the race, that everyone would call BS, so I had to pretend I lost.

Does our car really out accelerate them? I'm thinking know, but it is a mercedes...

By the way the comment about our cars looking better then the GTO was clearly for humor, I would hope we ended up in the rear view.

This is another attempt at some form of humor, right?

hmm... I can get to around 110 in 4th, so 5th tops out at 110-115? Did I get a "special" crossfire? Well I must have cause its kind of "slow". Then I have to shift to fifth, I have the 6 speed if that helps.

Wow, you people on this forum are really testy. It' like you purposely go out of your way to down people and not enjoy yourself. Listen if your life sux, then boo hoo, but don't try and make everyone else feel as bad as you. Respdoc, how old are you? You act like a pissed off child that didn't get his way in every single post you have. I have yet to see any positive comments or anything that could be put to use come out of your mouth. I'm guessing you are either a kid that has a rich mommy and daddy and makes you think your some kind of god, or your a middle aged man that can't understand why you bust your as* all your life and still can't get laid. Smile dude, things will get better if you stop being a pri*k.

You sir could have not addressed this any better. RESPDI*K is constantly putting people down or rejoicing in his exuberance in searching the forum...(clearly he is better at it then we are).

Actually neither category fits.

While I could pretend that my car was fast and dream up half-baked mod ideas but lack any real knowledge or funds to make any this happen like yourself; I'm perfectly happy living in the real world. Sorry that you find reality depressing...

its funny how people still egg you on. respdoc is just one of those trolls you have to ignore, just goes from thread to thread talking sh*t. you can't win with people like that. speaking of half baked mods, your sig has said...

(Near Future)
Kleemann Pulley + ECU kit

for 6 months. when are you gonna do that?

I was wondering when the most vocal of the dreamers would chime in. The reason you can't win is because your assumptions about mods are usually flawed and are disproved by facts alone, regardless of my opinion...I also see you do this to others that question your "ideas" so I pay little attention to this...

P.S. Since I highly doubt your worried about the modification status of my SRT, read my past posts for the details...the car's still in the shop for tranny issues...
