ok ok if some of you who know me i have posted stuff on here about working on my friends 350z. to night the guys decided to get the z's out and run between the both of them. i was there with my crossfire and chris with his rsx. some how they talked me into running the rsx since he just got stuff done and i'll i have was my cats gutted, well long story short i got him. i was kinda impressed.

they finally talked me into running one of the 350z dannys the six speed who is spose to have the faster of the two. but i think jays automatic is a little faster. anyways we ran the two cars, my crossfire stock just cats gutted vs dannys 350z with test pipes full exhaust aem cold air. i think something else but i'm not sure. well the first run i won, so i figured just a glitch. second run i won again! danny said he didn't miss any gears or anything it was fair. third run i screwed up on third and danny beat me. fourth run i won again. it was only by less than a half a car length but my stock car beat his z wtf! i really don't know what to say at this point but they did stop busting on my for buying american named car lol! next i hope to have a video to post guys!

 

If you're driving the SRT-6, then you have more power than the Z.

 

He said that on one of the runs that he messed-up in 3rd gear, which would imply a standard tranny, which would mean he wasn't driving an SRT-6. BlownSRT6, can you clarify, please? Which car were you driving?

 

I've run against 350's quite a few times on the track and can't keep-up with them on the straight-aways. No love lost here, because the minute I get into the twisties I'm all over them...

 

nah its not the srt6. just a reg crossfire. if i had the srt6 i would of smoked him lol!

 

gotta be the driver then. did you switch cars and run his Z with him in the XF?

 

nah we didn't switch but he is a really really good driver thats y i was so confused! i was like wtf ya know, maybe our cars are faster than what car and driver puts out, i know i got a 14.2 on the g tech.

i want to find out this summer at the track what im running after borla, evo pulleys and upsolute chip.

 

i did run a hatch back that was running 14.4 at the track (a friend of mine) and i got him by about a car length or so.

 

With equal drivers the 350 should win everytime, and especially with those mods, vs a basically stock xfire. Maybe your friend can't drive as well as he or you thinks? And was the rsx the s type?

Maybe your buddy has a big, heavy stereo system in his car that makes it slower?

 

I believe you BlownSrt6, there are several cars that I've beaten myself that I know my Crossfire should not be able to beat. The only reason I didn't put it on the form is because no one would believe me anyways. Alot of stuff is just on the driver itself. Oh well, here is my story...

In October I was at Vegas, and I participated in the Las Vegas Speedway Midnight Madness. During my quarter mile run, I outran a G35. His time was around 15 seconds and mine didn't show up due to a malfunction. But my point is I still smoked the G35, buy ten cars.

The point is it doesn't matter how much horse powers you got it's all about gearing. A japanese tin can vs. german design...

Come on guys, we all drive Crossfires, we all love our cars. Instead of calling our fellow members liars we should be more supportive and giving thumbs up.

 

In my XFIREX's lifetime I smoked a Z4 and 2 RX8's and a bunch of ricers (probably fart can modded only). I raced XFIREX also with my mustang GT and I've been smoked in a straight line but around half a car's length. My mods may have help a little bit!

 

yeah that's usual why i don't post to much stuff relaying to racing. its like that on my delaware street racing form lol to much BS. i do most of the work on my friends cars, the z don't have any kind of sound system in them i guess he just sux at driving haha! i'm currently working on a beater car. its a 1989 240sx with a sr20det in it. haha i should be making my crossfire the beater. i'll save gas! lol
