C32 Brake upgrade
Lantana, I have a question for you. I tried to install my C32 brakes last Friday but was stopped by my brake hose. The fittings on my stock hoses bolt directly into the caliper but my C32 Calipers have a block looking adapter with a bolt in the middle. Were your's the same? I ordered C32 brake hoses, This should work right?
Hi,
my C55 caliper havn´t any adapter too. In the case of hoses I order this STAHLFLEX BREMSLEITUNGEN MERCEDES SLK CLK C208 C209 ABE bei eBay.de: Bremsenteile (endet 22.02.10 22:30:58 MEZ)

Yea, it's a bummer. I wonder if these ML55 calipers will sell on Ebay so i can get some C32. If you guys see Topaz Gold Brakes on there, dont buy them. they wont fit on our cars. lol

Those were not what you wanted. You need W202 C32 calipers, which are designed to be mounted on the front of the spindle. The W203 calipers mount on the rear of the spindle, which may cause an issue with bleeder / caliper piston orientation.

Sorry I sounded like a tool. Thank you for educating me. I thought those calipers had staggered pistons. I thought the leading pistons are smaller than the trailing pistons.
I learned something.
I'll have to get a look at those some time.

It is possible to convert the calipers from trailing to leading by switching the piston housings between each caliper.
Also, a 20mm wheel spacer is required to provide caliper clearance for the N/A wheel.

Brakes look very good. With 20mm spacers, do the wheels stick out?
Wheels are flush with the fender. I had to remove the top screw that holds the inner fender skin, bend the tab up and push up on the plastic liner until it snaps above the tab. No rubbing thru suspension travel as the wheel cambers-in as it goes up. Sorry about the dirty car.... I'm heading to the car wash right now!
