Thanks I guess my last question is for the CL55 (i think i erroneously said C55) is do I need to get different rotors to run these. They are the ones I really want to go with because of the size and ability to Grip!
Thanks you all for your help. Love the forum and insights! Hope you all are staying well!

When I was researching the Mercedes parts-bin bolt-ons some time ago using the early SLK55 AMG brakes was one of the possibilities I considered. I say early bcuz these came on ALL 05-06 SLK55 AMGs but only with the Performance Package thereafter. 2007-2010 SLK55 AMGs (unless they have the Performance package) reverted to the same brakes used on the C32 AMG both front & rear. If you want the brakes shown in your link here is all the data I collected on them at the time including the (Mercedes) part numbers. Spacers are for use with Xfire wheels.

Although those big 360mm 2-piece rotors look nice when I priced them before they were in the $400 range, EACH!!! That's just one of the reasons I went the C32 route.
90 degree banjo fitting allows use of stock line.
Progress note: got the banjo fitting and bolt today, needed to trim the bolt, but with the trim and copper crush washers it fit. Put on the SS line and it works fine! Here is the photo. Will give the part numbers when I do the MEGA update after all is done with a test drive. Probably this Saturday!
Was there any reason why you DID NOT install C32 AMG caliper backing plates (splash guards)? I can't believe I never thought about it before.

Duh, I remember now. The cut-outs in the splash-guards where the calipers go is in the wrong location for where the caliper is located in the Crossfire. Crossfire = caliper toward front of car. C32 = caliper toward rear of car. Thus even though we are using the C32 caliper, that caliper is now located in a different physical space in the 360-degree circle so that it no longer aligns with the cut-out for it in the C32 splash guard. And there you go.
116 ft Crossfire Limited 60-0 stopping distance
117 ft C32 AMG 60-0 stopping distance
In spite of being 16% heavier the C32 only stopped 1 foot (0.86%) longer. It's the best example I know of the braking improvement you should expect, and the Xfire also has far better tires instead of the smaller all-season rubber the C32 is shod with, meaning the actual difference will exceed 16%. For me the pedal feels more solid since the calipers are no longer sliding, but are bolted directly to the strut assembly.
This post was crosslinked today. Info above on the C32 looks mostly accurate, but for future reference, the 6-piston calipers from the CLK55, SLK55 or any of the other platforms will not directly bolt onto the stock Crossfire knuckles.

you are wrong , longer bolts needed for some applications. 6 piston calipers from clk55/63 none BS 340mm/360mm , slk55 340mm / 360mm are direct bolt ons . This is old news
This has been long rumored to work, but does not without some seriously questionable methods and/or fabrication. To wit, Longer bolts will not solve the caliper rotation problem.

Reason: My tone sounded rude.
You are entitled to your opinion, but as I have done it myself, I can present facts. This has been long rumored to work, but does not without some seriously questionable methods and/or fabrication. To wit, Longer bolts will not solve the caliper rotation problem.
only had them installed by me on both my crossfires , pictures and threads to prove it. No major modifications., do a little digging and you will be enlightened. This site has everything you need for upgrades. Again this is old news for this chassis.
If I am wrong, I will stand corrected. Please link it up here, as this is the thread currently being discussed. There was no possibility of making that combination work when we tried it. The sway bar mounts had to be relocated, and only then would they bolt on. I have the C32 brakes on two Crossfires, and am no stranger to mods on these.

zero relocation any suspension part.
most likely you didn’t have correct braket . Brackets are rare as they are only used on the cars listed above.
Definitely a possibility. We have another set that we just personally pulled off an 05 CLK55. Will compare, and revisit. Sorry if I have offended, was not my intent.
C55 and C32 have the correct brackets for the 6 and or 8 piston calipers to fit Crossfire hub smaller distance from bolt to bolt on the caliper are all the same just diff hub on c55 and c32.
8 piston are a little taller on the hub so wheels are a bit tight. But the wheels you see in this pic and the AMG knockoffs are able to fit the 8 piston calipers
Jimmy skullz, rmaier, Rudy and myself have been doing this swap in the last 15 years on at least 5 to 10 crossfires.
I have done 2 myself and yes the c32,slk32 c55 and with small mods the c500 all from 2001 to 2007
if U want to go fast ,you better be able to stop use the best brakes you can find.
