Well I was so happy with the NA 345mm upgrade over the last 6 months I did the SRT, I went the eBay rebuild them here. I wanted to paint them disassembled and feel my rebuild Issa good as any. The 10mm hub centric I used on the NA DO NOT fit the SRT! I had the 5mm regular spacer I tried on the NA and they work on the SRT! The hub 66.5mm must be just long enough to center the wheel and I used the 50mm bolts to clamp them on. Had to put on the AMG logo fit the COOL factor.
So some difference between the two hubs.
So the 5mm spacer did not work, wheels off center, Talked to the folks at EZAccessory and they have a different spacer for the AMG/SRT hub.
so here are the two, the open one is for the NA and the capped for the SRT! SRT ready to put on the wheel. SRT on left and NA on right these are 10mm spacers.
I read a lot. I can't find where the wired harness plug's gin the , caliper lock please
I read this 4 or 5 times and I still am not sure what it is you are asking.
the only wires involved are the brake pad wear sensors. those screw right up to the back of the calipers and then sorta hangout with the pads and get worn out with the pads.
otherwise please sober up and try your question again later
if you look at #206 you can see the fine white wire on the outer part of the caliper that is the wear probe goes, it sticks onto the pad, the lead screws into the caliper.
I'm going to start a thread. I need help I let a total stranger who self proclaimed to be a certified mechanic do the rear amg c32 upgrade. What would cause the calipers to grab the rotors so tight and never release? The actual caliper is against the rotors metal to metal with the pads now damaged as I see little shards of metal. I Drove 3 feet before noticing this.
During the installation my 1st observation white i was installing the new wing, i noticed he let the fluid level drop to the bottom of the reservoir. 2nd no bolt on the rotors to hold it in place. 3rd he was trying to get the pads to give him more space for the rotors with a metal tip of a screwdriver driver.
I left for 30 min to get more bottles of Motul 600 I come back the car is not drivable. I attempted to bleed the brakes alone and lost light quickly and had to stop.
Anyway I will post here the new thread link so I can say I need help. Thx
Some companies like Cardone are selling reman. MB C32 AMG calipers with the metal pistons and some others like AutoZone, O'Reilly with the aluminum pistons.
What's better? Just found out. All brake pistons are aluminum. RockAuto placed "metal piston" in description so I was confused a little.
BTW found this , looks not expensive https://us.ceika-store.com/products/cbk279 to compare with the other brands.

As part of my engine conversion I am also looking to upgrade the brakes. I know that SRT6/SLK32 brakes are a direct bolt-on but I would prefer at least four-piston calipers. Has anyone looked into using C32 brakes?
So the 5mm spacer did not work, wheels off center, Talked to the folks at EZAccessory and they have a different spacer for the AMG/SRT hub.
so here are the two, the open one is for the NA and the capped for the SRT! SRT ready to put on the wheel. SRT on left and NA on right these are 10mm spacers.
Wow! You've made some serious upgrades. I'm impressed!
I can tell you all that we can take it 1 step further and step up to the 6 piston front and 4 piston rear as on my SSB srt 6 .....but even better the 8 piston front and 4 piston rear as I have on my 04 NA Frankenstein coupe . (see picture) the donor car was a SLK65 p030 performance package car,
front rotors are 360mm and rear are 330mm. these are bolt on and can run aftermarket rims with 18 front and 19 rear. Mandrus work for the correct clearance as well as the rims in the picture.
So guys, I'm gonna upgrade my front brakes to C32 Mercedes-Benz specifications. On the front right caliper I went with a BRAND NEW "AMG" labeled caliper from the Mercedes dealer for just $88. For the left front caliper I have 2 choices as I see it.
1) brand new "AMG" labeled caliper 002-420-19-83 $296.96 -OR-
2) Remanufactured no label 002-420-19-83 $97.81 CARDONE Part # P311-5B734BF Manu # 19-3165
So is having a BRAND NEW caliper with an "AMG" decal on the caliper to exactly match the one on the right worth an extra $200? That's the question. Or to get EXACTLY the same MB part number but Remanufactured and no label just fresh-silver paint yet save $200
So, save $200 and go remanufactured on one side? What say you? YES or NO
