Upgrade Brake kits
Doing a little research for several owners. Can you please recommend an upgraded brake kit for an SRT6 and N/A Crossfires? Thanks.
I think I put this on the other thread. You can upgrade to the C32 brakes. The fronts are 345mm rotors vs the SRT 330mm. The C32 has 4 piston fronts and 2 piston rears. I just got the fronts for now.
edit: I got a used set off MBworld.

C32 is a bolt on swap, but you can also use the S or CL class calipers with your SRT rotors. The S/CL caliper is the the same Brembo caliper but designed for the 330 mm rotor. To make this work you have to install four flat washers between the calipers mount and the spindle mount. This is what I am running and the difference from stock was huge. The car feels like it wants to throw me through the windshield when I stomp on the brake pedal. The C32 rotor may not have the rotor mounting screw in the right place but if you install studs to mount the wheels, the studs will hold the rotor in place when you have the wheel off. Either C32 or S/CL class require very minor modification (washers or studs). the S/CL calipers are dirt cheap compared to the C32 calipers because the C32 is very rare compared to the S/CL class.
i think you have to check this tread:
Biggest brake upgrade kit finished!!!
We are using the Brembo 356mm 6 piston set up on the rear wheels...
Front wheels 380mm 8 piston caliper. (19inch wheel required...)
Special requests are welcome (try that with Brembo...
)
The MB upgrade is probably the cheapest solution, depending if you use it for track or street... But i don't think they are much better than the original SRT6 brakes...
Let us know what the MB upgrade costs, we will quote you for an RSPEC upgrade kit.
Attached you'll find a photoshop example. Real pics follow if we get the right rims.
Grtz
