Hi all!
I recently purchased a 2005 Roadster Limited manual, sapphire silver blue metallic with 22,700 miles from the original owner. I've spent the past month catching up on forum postings and making some updates, i.e., new BF Goodrich Comp AS2 tires and TPMS, new front rim, Lloyds xfire matts, rear glass window weld, and a full exterior and interior detail. Next on the list of updates include: Kenwood KMR-D765BT marine silver radio, headlight restoration, sticky key mod and RCM swap.
I've started to build out my parts bin with some purchases from NeedsWings and online discount Mopar and Mercedes retailers for future maintenance/repairs too including: Centric premium rotors, ceramic pads, G-Stop brake lines, MB brake sensors, Bosch wipers, CPS, ignition key housing, RCM, universal garage opener (homelink), MB blue antifreeze and thermostat, and headlight seal kits.
Prior to picking up the Crossfire from the used auto dealer (Autodealz out of Shennandoah VA, highly recommended by the way) they performed a Mobile 1 oil change, detailed car, replaced the yaw sensor to resolve the ESP/BAS light and started repair on the TPMS light which ultimately turned out to be a broken wire to the DTC (OBD2). Once the wire was fixed the TPMS relearn was successful.
My copilot (Tina) is super excited for some top down fun and rides to the Georgia falls and Tail of the Dragon. I've been a fan of the Crossfire since seeing it at an auto show in LA in the early 2000s. In 2006, I became an owner (albiet 6 months) of one of the first 1000 Pontiac Solstice convertibles. I've also owned a Chrysler Sebring JXI convertible since 1997 that's still running with 150K miles although she's nearing retirement. In looking at used roadsters I really liked the quality of the build and ride. It's interesting to see many forum members owning multiple Crossfires...I'm keeping my eyes out for an SRT convertible. On a side note, I was going to purchase a white 2006 roadster limited with 1700 miles on it but it got away to another buyer in Pittsburgh. Maybe we'll see them here too.
Best Regards,
Richard
If you are on Facebook, search and join "Crossfires in the South", it is a page for the entire southeast USA but has become the defacto page for all of us within about two hours of Atlanta.
We have meets about every two months that center on "tech days" (fixing and modifying our cars), socializing, going for drives, going to car shows together, etc. Most meets are on Lake Lanier or somewhere in the North Fulton or Cobb County areas.
I live in Atlanta and am inquiring if there is a club in Atlanta.
Please contact me so we can meet up.
Also. Chrysler extended the Warranty on the rear window and replaced my entire top at No Charge due to defective window adhesive. when my window fell in. I can give u details.

THe ATL/North Georiga bunch is getting bigger and bigger. We meet about every two months - very informal. We do tech days as well as driving/socializing/car show events.
I will try to post here in our regional area when there is a meet, but most of our yakking is on Facebook - search/join the group "Crossfires in the South" - that page is for the entire southeast, but it is kinda our default hangout.
If you are not on Facebook, just make a fake/bogus account and then search the page and hit "Join". Actually, it is an open page so you need not even join to keep an eye on us.
DO NOT MISS the Fall Dragon - most of us will be there this time. We usually leave on Thursday (afternoon or even evening) and come home Sunday (well I come home Sunday, some stay till Monday).
Wow, yours is very nice...love those wheels and drilled/slotted rotors. Stripes near door sill too. Are those red stuff ceramic brakes? Nice background too!
Thank you, we weren't looking for another SRT but oportunity came up and we couldn't say no, too good a deal to pass up on such a beauty if you know what I mean, so got a pair now No not red stuff, just standard pads with calipur clip painted red, but CLK430 front drilled grooved brake discs. Background is Lake Districk Cumbria UK Happy and safe driving
I AM A NEW MEMBER FROM ATLANTA, actually from Dallas, I have a 2005 roadster and it is also silver. I would like to get together with other members for all functions.
