Has everyone or anyone changed their mind about a Texas hook up?

 

I am still available but no one else seems to come to a consensus.

 

Well Midlife it would seem we scared em off !! My lovely wife always rides shotgun so I can assure everyone I will behave!!

 

I can assure you that I am a man of integrity and, more often than not, a gentleman. I'll get one of my buddies to come along with me.

It looks like my trip to Houston and Galveston for a family get together in late July will be it for the summer. However, a weekend trip with the XF folks to Jefferson, Palestine to ride the train or maybe Fredericksburg would be fun.

For the fellas in Dallas... I pass by Keller's Drive-In at least twice a day. I see Hot Rods, Harleys and Corvettes there but never a Crossfire other than when I stop in for a burger. Surely we could make a showing some evening.

 

I went to Rockwall to look at a 5,000 sq. ft. house and we went on the backroads with a lot of twisties on it. Made me think of buying that house so that I can play my XFIREX in those twisties! The sad part though is that it's only a 2 lane county road and the house that we looked at doesn't have a covered indoor garage!

Palestine is cool for me! I live in Tyler and it's 40 miles away from my place!

 

I saw a red Roadster at White Rock Lake today. Is the driver of that buggy on this forum? Midlife and I have periodically tried to get a decent showing for burgers at Keller's drive-in.

I have a red coupe and I was through there several times today. I drove through to see the hot rods and low-riders on display. I also went round the lake once this morning.

I just got back from Keller's. Not much happening there. A man in a white BMW convertible wearing a stroker cap. He looked like he should have been driving a Triumph.

Maybe when the weather warms up a bit people will be more willing to get out. I found that there is a third XF on SMU campus. One of our Deans has a Base Coupe 6-speed. I turned him onto the Forum.

Huh. The red 'un I saw was most definitely a drop top.

 

I just brought my Crossfire home on the 24th. You may be seeing the Aero Blue SRT running around the park cities. I work at Park Place Motorcars and drive the wee beastie daily.
I noticed a black coupe in our employee garage on Saturday. Apparently, someone else has tied one on but with so many employees it'll be tough to find the owner.
I know all about Kellers and have been out there in the past with my twin turbocharged fuel injected '65 Plymouth. In fact, I was out there Saturday night but got chased off by the bad weather.
I have a few friends that hit Kellers from time to time and will try to hit it again.

Three people would change it from a date into a threesome but the wife may still frown upon that.

I'll be in Austin. Love to see some Crossfires while I'm down that way. Isn't there a Drive- In at 35 and 620 with a Saturday night hang of some sort?

I live in Austin and have heard the same thing. On Saturday nights all kinds of car owners go to Albertsons at Mopac and hwy 71 in Oakhll, road construction is about to screw up everything at the Oakhill Y so the owner of a restaurant on 620 is trying to lure the group out to his place. I will be at the Oakhill Y Saturday night about 7:30 pm but the showing has been low for the last few weeks due to holidays and Rod shows. I only know of five XF's in Austin including mine and have not hooked up with any yet. Maybe I'll see you there.

 

Man, I wish I could be there. I have a party to attend that night. You can count me into your Austin Xfire group. Let me know of another time and I will be there.

 

Steenport567... Will do, I go out to the Y almost every Saturday. If you look in my gallery I have a few pic's from one Saturday night. As I stated it's been slow the last few weeks. Do you know any other XF owners in town? I have seen three other than mine and am told there is another, there was a black coupe I knew of but it was totaled two months ago. If you want PM me or email me at rowdy00@aol.com and maybe we can hook up.

I have been in San Marcos for the past few weeks and I have seen a college girl driving a gray crossfire. Besides that, I haven't seen any other.
