I see a few threads, all from quite a few months ago, about Houston GTG's, but nothing recent. What's up? I would love to get a more local to me group going, and my wife and I are looking to move to Houston as well.

Is there anything going on? Do you guys just keep it quiet? If there is an active club, let me know. If not, then lets get one going. Logo, meets, members, etc. The CTC guys are a great group, but I would love to have a local group, and be able to meet up with them sometime.

Hey 007-M16 welcome to the forum. we had several GTG last year including one trip the Fredericksburg, when we met the CTC group.
However since Ike, everything seems to have gone quiet, and I don't see many postings from the guys who made up the club. Maybe Miles (woodlands1) may chime in, or some of the other members.......George, Robert. Ben.............you guys out there ?

 

Hope you guys can formalize a group. I think it was H.K. Phooey that was trying to at one time but it doesn't look like anything materialized from it.

 

I saw Woodlands1 (Miles) and Dkniess both had threads at one time, but there were few if any replies and things seemed dead. I waited a while to see if anything was happening, but decided it was time to start a thread.

If you guys are out there lets get something going. Reform, restart, or redo. I want a local club.

Hi, yes, we got a group going last year and we started having some fun. The roadtrip to Fredericksurg was awesome. Then the heat of summer and Ike and it all kinda fizzled.

I'm up for getting together again if anyone wants to give it another go. Work something up at a pub after work or late afternoon on the weekend.

OK, so now there are even more Houston members popping up, and nothing. Is there really no interest in this?

 

I think the problem is that we depended on one person to run the club and he did not want to run it thru this site where we all met. and we should return to this site as a group not with just one leader but as a group
( It was run offline on his email system instead of on here) If we didnt hear from him we didnt act on the GTGs ........

Its just that 9am on a saturday morning is kinda rough to make some times. I usually go out to eat with friends on friday nite.

I will be coming out your way this weekend. I've got to go to a training class for the new(204 body) Mercedes C-class in Houston and will be staying at a hotel in the Woodlands. I will be arriving Sunday Feb. 1st around noon and fly back to vegas on Tuesday Feb 2nd. The shitty part is my boss won't pay for a rental car and said I have to take the damn shuttle to and from class only.

 

So why don't you guys meet up with us on Sunday Feb. 8th. that 007__M16 is organizing to the La Gange area?

 

That would be great. Be good to know if anyone is up for it too, because I have a route planned, but if Houston wants to come too I can pinpoint the starting point. Probably start in Carmine off Hwy 290, end up being a great central location beginning and end for all (ending on 71 in La Grange).

 

Hey guy's I was out of town this weekend, but will send an e-mail tonight, to see if there's any interest in going for a drive to the Thirsty Parrot in Monaville, at 3ish on Saturday. Any other suggestions welcomed, but it's a place to start to see what interest we have left

Im on 32 hr weeks right now, im used to 55/60 a week my job is Automotive related.. 21 yrs with my company never have I seen it like this!

It's hard enough doing events with subies so I just thought SRT6 owners were not as tight and figured we would just wave as we went by. If you want to hang out with some cool cars and decent coffee...come to
Coffee and Cars at Post Oak and 610 at 8:30am Saturday Feb 7th, I will have mine there with a bunch of friends and generally 80 cars or so.

What did I say? I have been hoping someone would step up and plan some events as my dance card is almost full. Between Subaru(Texas Impreza Club) racing, wife, kid, family, lake house and work I'm slammed. I drive by crossfires in Houston and wave and I get a look like I'm wearing a Nacho Libre Wrestling Mask.
