Default Park Cities Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge may be forced to close

Park Cities Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge, a survivor of Chrysler's bankruptcy and reorganization, has stopped selling new cars and may soon be out of business after Chrysler Financial called all its loans.

Chrysler Financial is no longer financing dealership operations and demanded immediate full repayment of Park Cities' loans.

Chrysler Financial called all its loans... Chrysler Financial is no longer financing dealership operations and demanded immediate full repayment of Park Cities' loans.

The loans cover all of his vehicles, the dealership property and buildings. Moreover, other sources of automotive financing are extremely difficult to secure now, leaving cash-strapped dealers few options for operating loans.

"I've lost millions of dollars," said Griggs, who has managed or owned the dealership for more than a decade. "I'm done. I'm going to sell everything out here and get out of it.

I saw this in the paper and was upset. I really hope there is a way it can be salvaged. It's a great dealership, and for as long as I can remember. Hopefully Ferris can keep us posted.

Looking at PC Chrysler from the Tollroad this morning, it looked liked the whole dealer is closed including parts and service. Can anyone confirm this?

Hey all,
I live very close to Allen Samuels Alliance Chrysler Dodge Jeep

I called them to find out if they have a Crossfire Certified Mechanic on their staff.

They do. His name is Bobby Clarkston and he has been a Chrysler mechanic for over 30 years.

For Crossfire service call them and ask for Greg Harrison their service manager. Tell them that you are with the Crossfire Forum DFW group and you need Bobby to take care our your baby...

Contact information and website info follows:

Allen Samuels Chrysler Dodge Jeep at Alliance
www.allensamuels.com

11200 North Fwy
Fort Worth, TX 76177-6900
(817) 337-1937

I hope this helps. I think that if we get a group in there we should be able to get competent and correct servicing of our, dare I say it, classic vehicles.

Littlewing,
we may even set up a Saturday coffee meeting there. I'm sure that they would sponsor it.

Thanks

Chrysler is gone guys. It ain't coming back

Meanwhile we subsidize a hybrid car company in Finland for Al Gore.

BTW, Hybrids create more CO2 at present than gasoline only cars.

I was at Huffines Chrysler Jeep last week and the new car area looked very sparse. Lot was only about 40% full.

Most likely due to the Cash for Clunkers program. Last week I drove to Arlington and noticed that the Grand Prairie Ford lot off I-30 had nothing but pickup trucks. The Arlington Ford off of 360 was about 50% full.

People say that the lagging sales in October was due to the hang over from the Cash for Clunker program. Reality is many dealers don't have cars to sell.
