Default Resetting the (*&^%$ FSS Counter!

Ok, I realize I'm not the brightest but I'm having a heck of a time resettng the FSS counter. Yes, I've followed the directions precisely (I thought) but still no luck. Anyone have a hint as to what I"m doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Just keep trying, it doesn't always take the first few times you try....

The instructions are:

Turn the key to the Run position
Press the oddometer reset twice within 1 second
Switch the key to off.
Press & hold the oddometer reset button.
Turn the key to the run position.
After 10 seconds you'll hear a beep. Release the oddometer reset button.

There's nothing more than that to it. Worked first time for me last Saturday.

That's just because Bazzer got lucky !!

It's truly a pain to reset at times - your patience & perseverance will eventually be rewarded!
Just keep at it - cursing is perfectly acceptable - hammers are not!

I must have got lucky too. I changed my oil a couple weeks ago, and the reset worked for me the first time. I have read where lots of people have had a tough time with it, so I was expecting the worst. Maybe it will get me next time. I took my laptop to the car with me just so I could read the instructions as I did it.
