My family could use your prayers...
My Sister is in Fairbanks Alaska, Justin is my Brother In Law....
This is from My Sis...
Justin had a bike wreck. Someone found him by the side of the road and called 911. At the hospital he was in and out of consciousness and couldn't remember his phone number. I called his cell about midnight and the doctor answered. He has bleeding on the brain along with being pretty banged up.
We were able to make it into town and see him for a few minutes before they life flighted him to Providence in Anchorage where they have neurosurgons in case they have to do brain surgery. He doesn't remember what happened. He couldn't remember if he crashed or was hit and only just remembred that he was in the hospital the last time they asked him if he knew where he was. They asked if I wanted to go with him but I thought it more important to stay here with the kids. They need their mother in a time like this. So yea, could use any prayers or candle lightings. Now it is 2 am and I am going to go snuggle the kids to sleep.

we're all family here, Char, and as a fellow biker I will also add that aspect to say a biker prayer for your siters husband. May his time out of the saddle be short, his bedside ride without incident. His recovery swift and his wounds be healed. Mark
I too will include you in my prayers. My best friends' son Joe was in a similar accident. He was overdue by several hours. His girlfriend found him about 75 feet into the woods on a curve, he'd lost control somehow. The bike was destroyed and Joe was in bad shape. It didn't look like there was much hope for more than a week..... but he pulled thru! He's fine now, about 7 years later.
SO, be encouraged. Bikers ARE a tough bunch!

Your family has my prayers.
Thank you so so much, Sounds like the prayers are working. Here is an update from my Sis.... For those that don't know, Fairbanks to Anchorage is about a 4 hour drive. My sister has not been able to go to Anchorage so she is getting info by phone.

Ok just talked to Justin. They have him pretty drugged up so he doesn't really know what is going on and couldn't tell me much. So talked to his nurse. He's not "accutly critical". Justin had told me he thought he would get to go home tomorrow. His nurse said that his internal timeline isn't quite working but it would be longer then that. I THOUGHT one day was a bit quick. They will know more tomorrow. So for now, that's all I have. My aunt had the Chaplin go see him. He doesn't remember much of that but I know it made him feel better. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.

I'm obviously not a doctor, but I would suspect when they say his internal time line isn't quite working, it is referencing some loss of memory. There really is no knowing if he will ever remember exactly what happened, only time will tell. I would expect the best thing to do is to encourage him in his recovery and not let him focus on the lack of memory.
Again, all the best and please let them all know your extended family is pulling for them.
