I may be up for a May event. Let me know for sure if it is going to happen! Not sure which XF I will bring at this point.

[quote=The Beep]I'ld rather go faster on the race track than I went on the roads getting there. Is that asking too much??? [/quote

YES! You can slow down on the roads getting there so you will be faster on the track.

The mimimum speed on I45 is 40mph I think. 500 / 40 = 12.5 hours. Hmmm, it might just work.

At what point will we need to pay for each of the events we plan to attend. $40.00 ( 3 laps + pic) for each session and who do we pay it to.

They collect there when we sign up at TMS.

After we eat at Babe's, we will go to the TMS. In the general parking area outside of the infield, there will be a registration station, You will fill out your registration paper and be given a colored chit for each event you register, and pay for there. (be sure to have your driver's liscense, registration and insurance). Then we will all go to the infield parking lot and be staged in one lane. When we move up to run, another official will collect the chit.
After the completion of the first run, you will do one of three things:
1. Stay on the track for a 2nd run if already paid.
2. exit the track and pull in line to have picture taken if paid for, your chit will be collected,
3. exit the trac area and follow the crossfires to another small parking lot in the garage area for our own picture taking and commentating.
After the event is done for those of us not wishing to stick around, we return to the motel, go to the pool area and socialize and grub up.

John / Bill F,
Looks as if we are heading for another couple of GREAT pool parties, plenty of cars signing up, AND its early yet, still plenty of time for more. I wonder if Char will sign u,p and come topless again this time. Did she ever sort out her soft top??
Also never heard if Ron sorted out his window delamination. ?? I would be interested just in case it ever happens to mine.

Terry

I wouldn't miss this, top up or top down.... even if I had to be a ride-along...

My fiancé just found a place for me here in Fort Worth that says they will take the top off, remove the glass window, replace with another window (some type of plastic stuff I think), sew it in, place the top back on the car, and guarantee the work…

All for $350.00 and it will only take about 1-2 days. I am planning on going to the shop and check it out. I had concerns about the window looking cheap but they said it looks very close to glass. And they apparently have done this for other cars as well. But I want to check it out in person.

But from the sound of it… I will have my problem fixed by track time!!!!

I've gotten it fastened again but I am not totally happy with it I will probably re-do it.
