Sorry Anthony, we missed you and you missed a good run.
On what started out as a drizzly day turned in to the almost perfect day for a get to gether.
By lunch time the temp was in the 70's, top down weather, no rain and ate outside at the Gristmill. Thanks to Paige and Mark, Roger of yore, Ron of almost yore, Skip and Bobbi, new comer Laurie Anderson, who I took on a misguided tour of I-35 around the join up, and especially to our Wounded Warrior Bill and Sampie while Bill is recuperating from surgery. Of course to Eileen, who made me turn off the GPS the second time around the circle.
We arrived at the Gristmill at a perfect time, just before a tour bus, got seated and waited on, and enjoyed lunch.
In order to be sure the correct River Road was followed, Paige led the pack on a really nice DFW and HAXX to die for road. =P~ to Canyon Lake. A photo shoot, and polite discourse with a group of 8 SRT-4s and we told them we had already eaten so didn't need to eat their lunch too.;-), lucky us. All told a very good meet, sorry you couldn't make it Eric. Paul and Reeca leave the key under the mat and come on next time. Barbie, missed you.Every body say CHEESE!!:-)

Can't argue numbers 'cause you didn't give me yours. We lost the GodFather and his Black CTS after lunch, so if Roger is counted, it makes 7.

But who's counting?

Nine signed up, one a non crossfire owner ( has been) and I showed up anyway, three canceled out. that's why there were 6. The six completed the GTG, the meal and the river run drive. There's nine on your list, Glenn you haven't had the GTG yet, wait to see who shows up and who leaves early.

Just curious.... Who did I see in San Antonio? I posted pics. I am going to have to join you some time. I live in the hill country and I have seen your group pass my house. I have been invited before but never showed up. I just had a lot going on.... Marriage Wife and baby but now I need to actually make an effort if the weather is good. Maybe just a quick hello. I have been an owner for 6 years.... Bought new in 2005. I have been known to be testy around the forum. Just hope if I ticked any of you off you won't hold it against me.

The Club has been around since 2007 with a lot of GTGs and a number of them in the Hill Country area. Our GTGs are usually every month. Yes, you been invited several times and yes you haven't shown up. We all have families but we have fun. Sorry, no more personal invites but you are welcome to show up for a GTG anytime you find the time. Yes you have but it isn't personal.

Bill... I have a feeling I may have pissed you off at some point If you ever met me we would get along great in person... I promise. I apologize to anyone I have offended. If I ever encounter people that I have offended, let me know and I will buy you a meal and beer! Hopefully that will help patch things up! I am not really a jerk... just opinionated and I tend to express that more on the net I guess. I need to just take a chill pill. I am a crossfire lover like you guys.

If you guys ever go through the Boerne, Luchenbach, Fredricksburg area let me know. I AM IN! I mean it this time. It has been a crazy 2 years.... spent weekends fixing up my house and planning a wedding. After that we decided to have a baby right away (we are getting old) and that changed everything! No free time with an infant! But now she is 7 months old so if you guys are planning a drive through the area let me know and I will jump on the line! It is about time I start having fun!

Never pissed off, more like disappointed that you didn't take us up on an invite. Not all of our GTGs are convenient for those participating. Many of us go out of our way to do so and drive many miles to have fun. John is one and Skip is another who drive from Kerrville. We who live East of Hill Country do the same when we head that way. It's all about the journey. Socializing, Showing our cars, Having fun and Making friends. Those who don't make it to a GTG are the ones who are missing out and that doesn't just apply to the Central Texas area but anywhere a Crossfire GTG is being held in the world.
