Hey y'all

Well, a lot has happened since the last TMC in spring and I am far from being out of the crossfire world picture

How can I "not" show up for this wonderful event? I will make an appearance for sure, still don't know what my schedule will be. I will post when I know if I can make the "run" at the track or not.

btw... I bought the crossfire 8 years ago as of two weeks ago. I had never owned the same car for over four years. And I am still addicted to her

Well Terry, and Margaret and Buddy and Bridgit, looks like my bout with pneumonia has knocked me out of my trip to Myrtle Beach and my reunion. Unless something else disasterous comes up, The Penzes will be at TMS 10 Sept. Is the Motel 6 the boarding house of choice? Plan on coming in on Fri evening. See ya at the pool!

12:00 – 2:00 pm -> Meet 'n Greet at Motel 6 parking lot

2:15 pm -> Caravan to Babes

2:30 pm -> Lunch @ Babes

4:30 pm -> Drive to the track parking lot to register for TMS

5:16 pm -> TRACK TIME!

? -> Pool Party at the motel

The Gordner's will be TMS! We will probably be taking one car this time. Ron has not been feeling well.

Cameron said today that he and Lilianna will be coming to TMS.

Our other son ans wife and daughter Brandon, Gaby and Isabelle will be coming in ter Trans-am.

 

glad you told me, I looked and ordered tires from their site, self inflicted wound, learn the hard way (lower car without rotating rears) enjoy a good brew for me !

I will probably go. It was hot last time, but had a great time.

 

Ant, I should have told you, you could have got the tires delivered to whichever Tire Shop was going to fit them for you. Save Carting them around. Sorry you wont be there this weekend. Miss Ya.

 

When I called to register our group, they said that the car show wasn't scheduled at that time, and they weren't sure it was going to happen at all. Because of that, I set up our track time for 5:16 pm...that doesn't leave enough time to actually enter the show - we didn't get done with the show last time until after 7 pm, and it was 8:30 or later before we got back to the hotel.

We will probably have an hour or so between lunch at Babe's and our track time so that we could run over and attend the show as spectators, and anyone is welcome to enter the show - they would most likely miss laps with the group, however. Like Dave said, it was VERY hot standing on that blacktop lot for over 4 hours last time...

 

Well, after making all 5 weekends over the last couple of years we will get a DNF for this one. I think the ride down to the Track will be to uncomfortable and long for Helena. The rehab on her new knee is coming along real well but it is still pretty sore. Also if we came down she would miss 6 workout sessions. Take pictures and go fast. Have a cold one for me. We will see you all in May.

Car Show: I will probably go and/or enter the show if time permits. I want to do the Track laps for sure. This may be my last chance to drive the track. Already missed it last time and don't want to miss this time. Carmen has some appts. on Friday before noon, so we may not get out of Houston until 1-2pm. Hopefully get to hotel around 5-6pm, but may eat supper on the road. In any case we will be at the pool party. Have to stop and get some cold beer. May just get it at the Convenience store by the hotel. See you guys later.
