Re: Saturday Morning Cruise-In, San Antonio
Never mind, yep found your other thread. A friend of ours shared your news to me earlier this afternoon. Well bad news up front but what a GREAT excuse for new wheels!!!!! Don't throw the old one with the hole away, I would take it off your hands before that. There is some kind of cool man cave art that could be done with it.

At first I was bummed about the bolt through the wheel, but as mentioned, it gave me an excuse to get new wheels. I do like the stock wheels, but I have wanted black for a while. I did not really have time to search junk yards, anyway.
dtinker suggested painting black behind my grille, so that problem is solved. In time, the car will have all black trim, as I have been working toward.
I'll save the wheels 'til someone wants them. I will not sell the car, so keeping the original wheels is not necessary. Maybe I'll keep one front and one rear for just such an emergency. I already have some good spare rubber! Yahoo!

Getting Johns old Mandrus Wilhems via fedex shortly.. but figure I'll hang on to the OEM's and see if they skyrocket like fog lights!

Sandy, if it doesn't look like your tires will be ready by Friday, I'll lone you one of mine with tire that are sitting in my garage. They are cherry no marks, so no scratches or bolts please.

Thanks, Bill! I just checked and my wheels will be in Thursday, so I'm good for this Saturday. Looking forward to it!
