I would like to go, even got some new pulleys installed and the alignment done, but my sheet rocker is scheduled. I'll try to make the next one.

JesseJames: are you giving us a bunch of sheet? Look forward to seeing you next month, though.

I have a flat (with major wheel damage) so if my new wheels aren't in by Friday, I may not make it either. They're coming in from California.

Never mind, yep found your other thread. A friend of ours shared your news to me earlier this afternoon. Well bad news up front but what a GREAT excuse for new wheels!!!!! Don't throw the old one with the hole away, I would take it off your hands before that. There is some kind of cool man cave art that could be done with it.

I jacked one from a salvage yard.. SLK 230.. 99 model I do believe it was.. They were 100 yrds down the road from my fun and games. Crossie didn't have to sit still too long, and I have a spare at the house if ever needed again.

It put the "u" in ugly..but least I could still drive her till my Ebay special made it in.

At first I was bummed about the bolt through the wheel, but as mentioned, it gave me an excuse to get new wheels. I do like the stock wheels, but I have wanted black for a while. I did not really have time to search junk yards, anyway.

dtinker suggested painting black behind my grille, so that problem is solved. In time, the car will have all black trim, as I have been working toward.

I'll save the wheels 'til someone wants them. I will not sell the car, so keeping the original wheels is not necessary. Maybe I'll keep one front and one rear for just such an emergency. I already have some good spare rubber! Yahoo!

I had plenty of time.. Not like I was going to call for a roll back to carry her 40 miles to the house.
Getting Johns old Mandrus Wilhems via fedex shortly.. but figure I'll hang on to the OEM's and see if they skyrocket like fog lights!

Sandy, if it doesn't look like your tires will be ready by Friday, I'll lone you one of mine with tire that are sitting in my garage. They are cherry no marks, so no scratches or bolts please.
