I know of a lady in Dallas that has an SRT6 coupe. She wants to have the -10 mod done to the fan.

Where (that is, what independent Mercedes shop) can she go to and get this done?

I had mine done by Buckhead Imports in Atlanta, but have no idea about Dallas.

I've had brake work done at Passport Motors in Plano. When Bob was having problems getting his V8 electronics to work, the German mechanic at Krause's Automotive in Lewisville got it to work.

What is the "-10 mod to the fan"?

 

It makes the fan run 10C lower (16F lower) than factory. My needle never gets to the halfway mark anymore!
Great mod - Rudy told me about it a few years ago. They set the fan turn-on temp in the ECM programming somehow.

I'l pass this guy's info along to the lady!

 

I did'nt word that very well - it's the setting that determines when the fan turns on (based on engine temp) and makes it run faster at a lower temp.

Again, I love how mine works. The fan NEVER runs full speed, but it does speed up a bit earlier than stock.

 

Just heard back from Vicki - she says 1,000 thanks to me for helping her... but like I told her, were it not for .org, I'd be lost and useless.
