Default New Crossfire Owner

Hey all, I just bought my '05 crossfire yesterday. I'm looking to get into/start a Texas club. I saw some posts and it looks like people are interested. I don't know if you've already started one here in Texas yet or not but let me know. I will be handing my '04 Mustang GT back to the dealer soon. I was part of a mustang club in Michigan and was looking to start up the club here in TX. Now it looks like I'll be joining or forming a crossfire club. All I can say is I love this car! Nothing looks like it on the road. Hope to hear from you all soon.

I've seen tons of post but i don't think that anyone is active in starting one. I am live in Austin I am in. We just need someone that knows about car clubs and in willing to take the time to start one.

I am definitely willing to start it up. First thing we need to do is consolidate everyone into one thread posting. From there we need a meeting time and place central to everyone who wants to join. This is the only area I would need help in to kick this thing off. I was born in TX but just recently moved back after being away most of my life so I don't know what would be a central place and a good place for everyone to meet. I guess we need to start a new thread to get everyone to post about a meeting spot and time. I'll try to start a post now.

I would love to get the club started before summer hits. So far we have just us 3 posting here. Hopefully soon we'll have more posting. I figure another few people and we can really start talking about a meeting point. Just make sure you have your settings on this site set to email you when new posts are made here or to my other post about starting a club and consolidating everyone. Then we can really keep in touch. I'll wait a little longer to figure out a meeting point. If anything we could meet and maybe a post saying "club meeting" will draw more people in to actually come out. Congrats on the car! Talk to everyone soon.

There's quite a few crossfires here in East Texas. Why don't we organize a hook-up first then we can follow it up with the forming of a club?

I can leave invitations for the hook-up in every crossfire windshield I can find (which is rare but possible).

Sounds like a plan, 3's a crowd, 4's the start of a club. As I said before, in some post can't remember which one, I'm relatively new to TX. I don't have a map with me but if someone wants to suggest a mid-point, we could get our maps out and see if it works. I'm in Irving, I'll travel wherever for the first meeting. So just post here and we'll figure out a day, time, and place that'll work for us to start this thing up. Look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Try and email Adam aka DFWBR. He used to be the moderator here and lives in Dallas. I bet he would love to join the hook-up!

So we have a few people from the dfw area. Some from Austin. Waco is about halfway between both, probably an hour and a half almost equal distance. The dfw crew could meet locally somewhere and travel together and the Austin group could do the same. That was how we did the Mustang meetups in michigan. Anyone else have a suggestion as to place or time. I am free either saturdays or sundays. Since we have enough people for an initial meeting I would say this coming weekend, april 8th. If this is too soon, if you have other plans just post them here. Let me know what you think.

Like I said, I can do either day pretty much. What does everyone think about the meeting place at or near waco? Any other suggestions just post them. We still have a week to finalize.

Waco would be great but I will be in Houston this weekend. Maybe I can make the next one.

Waco is great! Any other schedule other than April 8 or 9th? I think a Saturday is just perfect than Sunday.

We may want to plan the first meetup for the next weekend, the 15th. I know it's between good friday and easter sunday so it may or may not work out. This weekend may be too soon because everyone already has prior commitments. The first meeting is always the toughest to plan. Let me know what you think of next weekend. We may have to push it out further because of Easter and that's ok too. I would love to get as many people involved for the first meeting as possible. People that join up after the first meeting always feel a little out of place for awhile and I'd like to cut that down as much as possible and get as many people to the first meeting that we can. There's no rush, so we can plan a date that everyone can mark on their schedules ahead of time. Let me know what you guys think.

The 15th would probable work fine for me although I understand it may be a short notice for some. I am usually able to change up on short notice. I am not very familiar Waco so I can't advise a spot to meet up at but could check into it if needed.

I would like to meet up as well, however, this week and the following will not work. I will start paying attention to the threads though.

Are any of the DFW guys up for meeting locally and we can plan the Waco trip for later in the month? We could meet at a Sonic one night?? Just an idea. It's good to see this thread picking up momentum!

So, was there a consensus on meeting in the DFW area. I live in Denton, and work in Irving (Las Colinas Business District).
