Nov 11th Orlando Speedway GTG
I just talked with Rusty about 10 minutes ago regarding our Saturday night visit. He seemed as excited about us being there as we were ourselves. The last Saturday race of the season is Nov 11. I talked to him about the Nov 24 crash a rama, and he didn't think that would be a very good night for us, to much debris everywhere. He said we could go on the 11th if we wanted. So who wants to go again? We can meet for dinner before the races like before and then do the track thing. I still can't stop grinning or telling everyone that I can corner for a couple of minutes about the great time I had there. I know without any doubt that I'm ready to go back there again.
Lets start the list:
The Toy
Danimal
Kjmurphy
Who else? Check your schedules and let me know.

Looks like you have a good list so far. I'm in and grinnin' !!!
And how about that Italian restaurant next to Longhorn's that Cherie said was really good??? Or, is there a Mexican place in that general area (to really heat things up)??? That area was really convenient and in close proximity to the track. But I'm up for anything dealing with food and racing...what a night!!!

No can do, guys.
I'm traveling over the week-end to DC for work so its not an option for me.
But have fun and yes, I'm STILL grinning whenever I think about how I was taking those turns... how well the car handled... how good of a driver I am!
So Danimal, no need to worry about me riding up your tailpipe this time!

Sharon, I can't believe that you'd pass up this for work. It must be some really important stuff and I'm sure rescheduling is not an option. It won't be the same without the yellow roadster amongst us. They have a big night planned on the 10th, that Friday if that would help, but if you're traveling I wouldn't think a day would matter.
Clif,
I'm sure he would be more than happy to take your SRT on a few spirited laps!! He told me that he was pushing that truck about as hard as he felt safe when he was leading us before the races. He told me 60-65 on the straights and the turns were about as fast as he wanted to go in that truck. He said he rotates that right front tire every three weeks, or it will wear it to nothing. It looked like he was just cruising around and playing with us, but everything wasn't as they looked.

I will not be able to make this one...I will be in Ohio that weekend and after Dec 20th I'll be in Europe. If one comes up between end of Nov and Weekend before I leave...I'm in.
Well at least we have three of our six to go back again.
Dan, How about giving Kamjin a call and see if he's interested and has that weekend off.
WE need to find another couple of Crossfires to join us. I know we still have a couple of weeks, so we've got some work to do. I'm surprised none of the s FL guys want to come up to join us. Actually, I'm surprised everyone hasn't jumped at the chance to take some hot laps in the Crossfire. It's certainly there loss.
Sharon, Clif, Quinton,
They will be back to open the season there in March, so we'll plan something really big with all of us again to go there and open the '07 season in style.

Mark your calendars -- Orlando Beer Festival.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At Universal City Walk on 11/11 and 12.
Experience a vast world of beer traditionally known only to beer connoisseurs and an impressive assortment of domestic and imported ales, lagers, pilsners, stouts, porters, ciders, malt alternatives and barley wines.
I wish I could make it to the track and then the festival...wow what a weekend.

Hey guys, It's been a week or so and it's been very quite here. Have either one of you found anyone else to join us in a couple of weeks? I made up some business cards that mention our site and GTG, but I haven't been near another Crossfire since. I keep watching the shopping center my store is in because I've seen 4-5 different ones parked out here, but nothing for the past two weeks. We could still go with the three of us, but I'd like to have a few others join us.
Dan, Did you ever hear from Kamjin about joining us this time?
Later,
John

John, I haven't heard anything else from anyone...and it is looking like I may not be able to make it either. I had forgotten that I obligated myself to assist my neighbor that weekend and I haven't been able to catch them to see if plans have changed or not. As soon as I can find out, I will let you know. I'm not going to be happy if I have to miss it, but I sorta owe them.
Well it sure does sound like ya'll had a lot load of fun. I will once again be trying to go, but not sure. That's like the one bad thing about being on a tugboat, your schedule is always subject to change. I get off that following Monday... What luck.
Hey Toy, I think its kinda funny that you mention how many you see. Everyday on the river I go by a Chrysler lot where they store just Crossfires. It sits right on the St. Johns River next to the cruise ship terminal. I'll see If I can get my captain to get over there close enough so that I can take a picture. There must be 200 of them right down by the river bank.
