North East Florida Owners ...???
Greetings ...,
I just picked up a "new" '05 SRT yesterday and was wondering if there are other NE FL owners around the forum. I'm still reading through the mountain of info on this site to determine if there is anything that needs to be done right away.
BTW ..., "Love it!!"
See ya round,
Scott

Re: North East Florida Owners ...???
Keep checking as we have some great GTGs down in Orlando a few times a year. I'm also going up to Carlisle in July for the Chrysler Nationals if you would like to travel up as well. One other member from down in the Lady Lake area is also going up. Hope to meet up with another one or two along the way.
Re: North East Florida Owners ...???
Well, I don't think I have any vacation scheduled for July, so maybe next year. I would enjoy any type of get togethers (GTGs ??) around here or a nice drive to Orlando, but I work weekends and I'm certain that would get in the way.
It's a real chore getting around that with my 'other' car (Impala SS) club.
Maybe a few more Jax Area forum members will surface.

Add two more from Yulee, both my wife and I drive 2005 SRT-6 Roadsters. Drive on up and cruise Amelia Island some weekend morning - its beautiful!
Oh, and the first thing you need to do with your XF is to have fun. The second, invest in a radar detector. Or maybe its the other way around...

Wow, a 2-SRT Roadster family. Lucky you! I'm already having loads of fun and have been giving serious thought to a new detector. Haven't used one in YEARS ... but this little buggy might get me in trouble. 80 on I-295 is oh so comfortable ... yet oh so dangerous.
Love to meet up sometime.

Congrats to Mr. BlackJax-SRT6 on your new wheels. RADAR DETECTORS ARE A MUST.
These cars are addicting to say the least.

Re: North East Florida Owners ...???
Welcome to the forum. I live The Villages. About an hour and a half south of you. I have seen at least six more Crossfires here but I have always been going the other direction so I haven made contact with any of them yet. If anyone out there lives here also let me know.

Re: North East Florida Owners ...???
Nice to know there are other XF owners in the neighborhood! For all you NE FL owners please let me know if you're up for a Labor Day weekend barbecue at my home in Yulee. It would be great to have you and your families visit, check out each others XFs (our SRT-6 roadsters are black and graphite), play a little tennis, or canoe on the Bells river behind my home. Who knows, perhaps I can convince the Sheriff to provide us an escort through the historic section of Fernandina Beach at the end of the day!
Let me know,

Re: North East Florida Owners ...???
I can tell you that Rick Keffer in Yulee is the WORST when it comes to service. I know Rick and his father personally, and they own dealerships all the up to NC...great sales folks!!! But if you own a tool box, they will hire you as a mechanic, no experience necessary.
If I must have any more work done, I'm not sure where I will take it. I know that Frank Griffin had the BEST service department that I have ever been in back in the day when he was a VW dealer. Would probably try there first.

Another here...
Just bought a "new" SRT-6 last week (sorry BlackJax, had to get a black one too).
I live in Mandarin but moving soon to WGV area, so we may cross paths on the road - I'm also a native of Jax but grew up in Mandarin.
Any other experiences with dealer service locally? need to have a couple of things addressed, was going to try Jax CJD (the one with the blond lady on the commercial) - figured if they have 72 service bays they ought to have a tech that knows the SRT-6...

Glad to see another crossfire in the area. I live down at the World Golf Village not to far from orange park. I have had my crossfire serviced at the dodge dealer at baymedows and 9A, the people and service are wonderful. My buddy that lives next door takes his viper there as well. Not to get off subject but I am putting a poker run together that will benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation and would love to have some crossfires in it. The event is for exotics and unique cars and I'm thinking that the crossfire is unique enough. We will be starting at World Golf and ending in Key West.
