Hello, I just found this site and am trying to find out how best to use it. Also, are there any members in Miami who would like to get together once a month or something like that? Both my girlfriend and I have Crossfires, and we'd like to meet others who own them.

Hey, thanks for the reply and the welcome. Can you tell me something about your performance modifications and painted brake calipers? Are those stock calipers painted red or did you swap them out? I priced Brembos, pretty steep, especially when you add in the perforated rotors. Your wheels look sharp, this is something I want to do soon.
Leo,
If you're looking to meet some other Crossfire owners, we are having a gathering of owners in Orlando on March 15. There's 18 signed up so far, want to be 19 and 20? Tell us about your Crossfires that you and your girlfriend have.
Welcome aboard.

Thanks for thereply. That sounds like a great idea; I'm going to talk it over with her and see if she can make it.
Clarice has 2005 LTD, white with two-tone leather interior. I have Graphite a 2005 SRT6. Both are convertibles. I got mine with 350 miles on it from a delaership in Minnesota who happened to have a truck loading for the Ocala auction the week I called, so we made a deal I considered favorable and got it done. The car was put into service in Feb 2007 so it has plenty of warranty left.
Clarice drives hers every day but I keep mine in the garage with my Harleys and drive an old Sable wagon, if I drive at all. I work out of a home office and I generally take out one of the bikes if I need to go anywhere. Over the past five years I only put 40K miles on my car. My Crossfie still has only about 1400 miles on it.

The calipers are stock and painted with Folia-Tec caliper paint kit ($24.00-$30.00), the wheels are Foose "Speedster 5' and can be ordered through your local tire shop. As far as performance mods are concerned you will find out that there are few out there for the Limited, and what is out there is very expensive. But you have the best of both worlds in your stable, the SRT6 is the best bang for the buck at todays prices. When I purchased my 2005 Roadster Limited in 2004 I paid $41.635.00 the SRT6 was $51,000.00. The engine mods that I have are the PowerChip Gold93 (approx. an 8-10 HP gain), Denso Irridium Spark Plugs, Magnacor Wires the air takes are custom made by me (off the shelf parts from Spectre Performance) and are for appearance only, no HP gain but adds a nice growl to the engine. A performance upgrade from RennTech, Brabus or StarTech for the Limited would run about $18,000.00-$26,000.00 and would give you an option of a 3.8L V6 (280HP) or a 6.1L V8 (425HP).
Leo,
Talk it over and let me know if you'll be coming up in one or both Crossfires and I'll add you to the list. You might be our second 2 Crossfire couple to join us in March.

Toy,
Right now it looks good; God willing, we will be there with both Crossfires. The laps around the tract sounds like fun, and parking inside is a plus. You seem to have really got this under control; tell me, is there a group rate set up at any hotel for this, and if not, can you recommend anything? Neither of us has much experience with that area. New Smyrna is straight up I-95 from here (i.e., Miami), isn't it?

Do you actually live in Miami? LOL I have been to 2 of the GTG's in Florida. It is nice to meet other enthused Crossfire owners. John, alias theToy, does a great job organizing events.
Oh, by the way I live in Doral. It is difficult to get together with others in Miami. I seem to go out of town frequently on weekends which makes it tough or golfing. Plus with the daughter with track and crosscountry..... and the Cats in the Cradel We'll get together soon!
And yes, we have two SRT's in the driveway. I look forward to meeting you and your Xfires.
