Default Tennessee Under Water

Hoping everyone is okay. The flooding this weekend has been insane.

I travel I-24 West from Chattanooga through Nashville into Illinois when I go back to KCMO. I heard today that south of Nashville, I-24 is under water! Some kind of rain!

Thankfully my home is on high ground. I spent most of the day today with the neighbors digging trenches to reroute the flowing water around homes. It's been rather interesting.

I heard a tornado went through Murfreesboro yesterday. Steve and John live out that way,

I went to my cousin's house yesterday to add Ram and a DVD drive to their computer. We watched that live on the News. The commentating was awesome. Question though... does who takes care of the damages to the truck that was hit, home owners or Automobile?

9.5" of rain at my house in 36 hours....

Definitely nothing nearly as bad as Nashville. Cumberland river will exceed 50-foot mark, surely flooding the entire 1st/2nd avenue district.

So far my only casualty is a right-front foglight, it burst during one of the heaviest thunderstorms this afternoon. Water rushed in on the bumper and burst the light.

My prayers are with all of the affected families tonight... Bellvue is a disaster area

I'm glad you all are safe. We were trying to run the Chump Car race. We did get started at 11:00 AM on Saturday, but they pulled everyone off the track after 3 hours. Had some amazing spins from hydroplaning on the track, but no injuries. After waiting for so long, they called off the race and asked us all to leave. I'm so glad I was in my truck. I just couldn't believe how fast the flooding was occuring. We stayed in Lebanon Saturday night and took off Sunday morning, avoiding the highways. We took 109 to go back home.
I'm just amazed at all of this and how fast it happened. Be safe. We'll be back at Nashville May 16th to finish the race. I didn't get an opportunity to drive, so I'm looking forward to dry pavement and seat time.

Jane I forgot all about the Chump car race. Try to post a reminder and I'll do my best to make it out there for a little while. Glad you made it out of The Great Flood.

And, in the midst of all this, Charlie Neese managed to turn the storm into a Johnson.
