This is the Greenbrier that I am thinking of, with directions. And - Its Hwy 20/72. They open at 10:30, which gives us a chance to roast in the heat, and meet one another.
Also, is easy to see from the road if you aren't from the area.

Yeah, see you Saturday morning. The restaurant opens at 10:30, so I figure who ever gets there early can talk & look at cars for 30 min, then we can go in and get a cold (non-alcoholic) drink, eat lunch and meet....

Do we have any more confirmations. No offense, but I'm not going to drive 3 hours to alabama for one person. It's just to long of a haul.

 

I don't blame you...I've had replies from 5 definite people wanting a meeting. But you are the only one who said that they'd positively come.

I ran into a guy this afternoon who he said he'd try to come, and mentioned knowing others in Decatur/Athens who have Xfires and would pass it on. But he wasn't definite about showing up.

I had put ads on 2 radios in Hsv, on the on-line Decatur & Florence News Papers, but couldn't get on the Hsv Times or Guntersville paper.

So, everyone can make their own decision from far away as to whether or not to come to Hsv since this is the 1st attept at getting together.

I won't be able to try at a meeting again until Sept, and will give more notice to people at that point.

How did the meet go? I live outside Birmingham.

 

Sorry it has taken so long to let everyone know about the mtg.

Turned out that one person showed up - a guy I'd just met from Decatur that week. We talked in the parking lot about radios, door handles, cup holders, tires; local places he's gone in Athens, AL to get things like these fixed/replaced.

I'll be unavailable for a meeting this month (Aug), but am going to try to put a notice in the papers on-line, and local newspapers for next month to notify everyone.

See about the N AL XFire Mtg Sept posted. I hope the date is OK.
