Florida Crossfire Owners - I am moving down to Hollywood/Ft Lauderdale area in February. Looks like I will be taking the crossfire with me.

Will keep my eye out for post on get togethers/meets.

PS: I have a Blue SRT and spotted one a few months ago at a Casino parking lot near Hollywood.

I am replying to the post by KimPossible....You were saying:
I would like to have a GTG down on the west coast south of Tampa - there is a great hotdog place featured on Man vs Food that looked neat & the drive would probably be nice too. I think I would have to go over the Skyway Bridge to get there. Maybe someone in that area could look into it?!? That place is called "The Salty Dog" A mile marker that is also located right there is "Mote Marine" That would be a great location...

Maybe we could plan a trip to The Salty Dog. Anyone up for planning?

Here is a little clip from Man vs Food ...

Dan & I have been talking about a Salty Dog trip. March might be a great time for awesome weather. We might not have the twisty turny roads like a lot of other states, but we do have some of the best waterside relaxation points in the country!!! I think it sounds like a nice way to spend an afternoon - waterside with my XF friends sipping on a cold one & eating some good food. Life could be worse......

Hey Jake! Hopefully we have another dyno/tune day in Davie, FL soon which is not far from Ft Lauderdale. We usually have a great turnout hosted by the Eurocharged folks from Illinois.

OK, then why don't we pick Saturday March 26? I just checked the local events calendar, and there doesn't seem to be anything special going on here that weekend, but that probably doesn't matter.

Update on my move to Florida. I will not be down there until mid April.

I plan to have the car down there late this week if the weather allows me to get it there. Taking it on the autotrain this Thursday. My wife will drive it until I get moved.

Looking forward to some meet and greets when I get down there.

Regards,
Jake 80

Since nobody else jumped on my suggestion of March 26, how about April 16? I'll just plan on going to the Sunnyland Antique And Classic Boat Show on Lake Dora on March 26 instead. http://www.acbs-sunnyland.org/

Please tell us about your autotrain experience. I almost bought a Crossfire in Virginia and was considering bringing it down here on the autotrain, but then I found a better deal in Florida.

That is the weekend after the Dragon....but there are only 4 of us (that I know of) that are headed up that way so it may work for those closer. It's tuff to pick a date convenient for everyone. If this date doesn't work out either, may I suggest May 14/15 as a possible date....even though it will be getting warmer it will still be before kids are out of school and vacations start filling up the beaches.

Hopefully some of the locals can come up with something to do....it's a long 4 1/2 hour drive for me from the NE corner....just to have lunch. But then again, I drove to St. Pete just to have lunch....

We don't do much around these parts except lay around on the beach, or in my case I work 12 hours a day. If I had the time, I'd organize some kind of road rally. Does anyone else have time to do that? We could start somewhere else and end at the Salty Dog, or maybe start at the Salty Dog and end at the tiki bar at the Casey Key Fish House.

I'm in Gainesville. I'm good with Central Florida. I work 12 hr shifts as well. Most weekends are good except for SCCA weekends, or maybe we could coordinate with a Solo Meet weekend and have some fun!?
