Default 2007 Roadster

2007 Roadster
Having major electrical problems been to 4 mechanics finally insisted they put an alternator and another new battery on. At least its running now but due to all the problems the convertible will not go down. All the fuses have been checked recently. Is it powered by its own motor? where in Central Florida can I find someone to work on this car. The Chrysler dealers tell me they don't have the "computer/cable equipment to work on. I'm done with dealerships but I have also had someone from a high end sportscar shop work on as well and couldn't find the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

This link may answer your questions.
1) yes it has its own pump.
2) It has its own control module.
There is a series of events that most will ask.
1) When you turn the D ring and push up on the top do the windows roll down?
2) When you push the top button down do you hear the pump in the trunk for the top running?
3) The fluid reservoir and pump is located in the cargo compartment(trunk) on the drivers side behind the carpeting. Have you checked the fluid level? If it is low it is CHF 11S

4) This has worked for me. I disconnected the negative battery cable. I cycled the top 6 times manually (most say 4 is enough I wanted to make sure). I made sure that the top was in the up position with the back latch engaged, and trunk closed. Reconnected the negative battery terminal and started the car. Then lowered the top as normal and it worked.
If you have further questions I'll try to help.
