Thanks, but I don't feel comfortable driving it all the way to Ft Myers. Wish you were closer!

I’m in fort Myers too! Some time we should all get together for cars and coffee. But to add, try to disconnect the battery and ground out the cables (arc them with a metal wrench with battery removed) and let them sit for a 10 minutes or so. This should help clear the onboard computers, I had the same problem in -20 degree weather in Minnesota once.

I've read that from a few people, but that sounds pretty scary to me!
Has anyone had it make thing worse?

Nope, nothing worse. The only thing is that your BAS/ESP light will come on but to reset that you turn the wheel lock to lock. Try it out! It takes about 15 mins to do and might save you hundreds

when u disconnect the batt,,, either press the brake peddle or open and close the door about 5 times that will drain all stored electrical ,,, you don't have to put the batt cables together using a wrench

very cool! what color crossfire do you have? i'd love to hit up cars and coffee one day. i almost went to the one in sanibel a couple weeks ago but hit traffic and was not going to make it so i turned around.
