Hi Phil,
Yes, you can unplug it. Mine failed and the batteries inside it leaked and destroyed the circuit board. I actually removed it and drove the car for a year without the alarm / siren installed. I had no issues. My wife did buy me a new siren for Christmas. The new sirens have the chirping sound when you lock or unlock the doors. You need to remove the windshield wiper arms and plastic cowl. Easy to do but you may need a puller to remove the wiper arms. There is a procedure available on this forum. Look through the area where all of the procedures, troubleshooting help, and data information is located. Hope this info helps.

This topic has been covered many times and your specific question answered many times.
Your question is hypothetical and so hypothetically you could ask a multitude of other hypothetical questions on every aspect of the Crossfire. I cannot wait. 🙄
Search is your friend.

Phil, onehundred80 is correct. Almost anything you need to know about a Crossfire is on the forum and easy to search for. CLICK on onehundred80's "Index of Crossfire problems, repairs and How To's". You will see the procedure you want under "Body" - Adding the missing isolator around windshield wiper stem and also in "Electrical" - Replacing the batteries in the siren. While you have the plastic cowl cover off clean out the water drains (one on each side and one in the center). You can also do the driver side wiper arm grommet installation (Grommet available at NeedsWings for $3.95). Also, if your wiper arm plastic nut caps are missing you can replace them also. NeedsWings has them and I think Ebay also.

i tried before but could not find an answer. did the search and could not find the answer. that is why i started this.
but havent got the answer, neither links.
if some1 wants to help, what i need is answers or links. otherwise why post?
the questions, no matter how many times have been asked-and answered-are not shown or available anywhere i tried.
it would be easier instead just to answer them, isnt it?

It would be easier for us if you found out yourself, we are not free service advisors sitting at a desk in India waiting to do your commands at your bidding.
The Service Manual covers the rempval topic quite well.

my request is this, as mentioned on post 1:
" if fails, can i just disconnect it?
if so, how?
(i know it will not warn if somebody wants to steal my car)
thanks "

in other words, can it be disconnected without doing any harm?
and if so, how?
i cant find any thread explaining this.
i hope it is clear.

my view
my understanding is that the forum is to exchange comments, ideas, ask for advice and provide it if you can. i still have doubts and have questions, and i think is great to have these posted for everybody to read. this way there are better chances to get a good solution, and let many read that too and learn. but this is my opinion.

and i just found this thread https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-module-5.html
there is all kind of data and explanation on how to remove it. and when a fellow asked if it could be removed without any problem, he got the answer. see post 78. politely.
then on post 86 there is the explanation on how to remove it without removing the windshield wipers.
" I undone the cowl and managed to lift the cowl and slide the module out so didn't need to undo the wiper arms "

Phil, The issue is as old as the Bible . . . give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime

What does that mean?? It is more worthwhile to teach someone to do something (for themselves) than to do it for them (on an ongoing basis).
YOU NEED TO LEARN TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION ON THIS FORUM. ALL THE ANSWERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO SEARCH!

Not all available sirens beep, there are two that I know of that do. Basically the price should tell you, the cheap ones do not..

master of the universe, thank you for your valuable advice. my request is this, as mentioned on post 1:
" if fails, can i just disconnect it?
if so, how? "
and that, my dear friend, is not explained anywhere else. no answers to this.

YOU NEED TO LEARN TO READ.
so, can you just answer my questions, which is all that i need? no lecturing, please.

That question has been answered in this thread and has been answered a number of times before that.
YOU NEED TO USE SEARCH or GOOGLE BETTER.
One thread from 18 months ago was Eliminating alarm siren by Jim Holian.
