Well from reading the previous threads I would have to say about 7k...or depending how much HP I can get...I guess that there won't be making production kit for the Xfire only custom kits by request...right? My Xfire is auto...would that be a problem?

IMO, don't waste your time or your money... I already had a lengthy conversation with Shade Ferre from STS... It seems like a pipe dream for this car, but you can make your own decisions... If you can get a kit for free to do the R&D for them then go for it...

Sorry about having not responded in so long... I will post better and bigger pictures soon - the project is still in the works - and running close to 20k at this point... There are so many problems with putting a turbo in this car... Customizing the piping, working with the software, creating room for the manifold... building up the engine (i.e. forged parts, etc), and then of course the POS stock clutch issue... I really can't believe it - hopefully this will be finished soon - the car has just been picked up by three sponsors so we'll see how this goes... Shouldn't be much longer now till completion.
Also, I just wanted to mention... I was speaking to one of my sponsors and they work with quite a few different aftermarket companies and were telling me that they've been getting alot of calls on the Crossfire and have been repeatedly checking into the availability of items for this car... From what they were saying in about three to four months the aftermarket on the Crossfire is set to blow up - body kits, drop kits, exhaust, turbo kits, supercharger kits, you name it - it's all set to come - it's just been a matter of testing and tuning... So that's the word I've gotten and from what I can tell it's quite reputable... I've been toying around with several groups about the idea of designing a custom carbon fiber body kit for this car (the first one, aside from the hideous Zestline body kit - Mopar and Skunkwerks also produced ONE which never went up for public sale - and I don't really consider Startechs light touches to be a body kit) but... About the time I actually have my turbo finished (the entire point being for it to be the FIRST turbo Crossfire) and body kit - there will be a bunch of aftermarket body kits and turbo kits costing a fraction of what I'm paying... So hmmm...

So in the end, this might just be (so far as doing it yourself) a pipe dream for this car... and an insanely huge waste of your money... wait for the aftermarket to catch up, is my advice... Yes, the Crossfire is not the most popular car in the world... But heck, I've seen body kits and turbo kits and all sorts of other items for every other car under the sun (I saw a body kit on a '95 Plymouth Breeze the other day, uhhh???) then I'm sure that there will be plenty for this here shortly... Consider the Prowler... Plenty of aftermarket there, it just took time...
I sure hope so... One of my sponsors has a contact with SEMA and would like to get my Crossfire to the point of getting it down there... we'll see... With what we've done so far (14 speaker stereo, custom MB plates, custom emblems, custom gearbox, ecu upgrade, various engine work, etc...) If we can finish the turbo, do the body kit, vertical doors, rims, drop, exhaust, suspension, etc... Hopefully the will look at it... Hopefully you'll see this Crossfire on the cover of one of those nice little sports car magazines at 7-11 one day after it gets a few more sponsors and gets dressed up a bit more... OK ALOT MORE (At a concert in Salt Lake City recently, there was a 350Z on display valued at a little over $200,000... In talking with the owner he told me that the car was turbocharged AS WELL AS supercharged -yes it is possible I checked-, along with nitrous... the car had the MOST INCREDIBLE stereo I've ever heard and was covered inside and OUTSIDE with more television screens than I could count... he told me he started out just like me adding a few things, getting sponsored, adding more, etc... Wouldn't it be wonderful to see the Crossfire mature to this point???)
Sorry about not updating this thread. I saw the other one on a twin turbo set up and boy is that nice! I have opened up 3 new restaurants in the last year and have been very busy...Anyway, I spoke to my buddy and he is looking at my car in the next week or so. The kit will be a great price and I think this will be pretty awesome! I'll keep you all posted on the progress.
