Default For anyone who have removed there door panel

First does the door panel come off relatively easy? Second are the inner panels by the arm rest and covering the air bag, panels that can be separated from the main door panel? I'm interested in removing my arm rest section and covering it in leather. From the front it looks as it might be a separate piece that might come apart from the back side. Anyone know?

So the area I've outlined in red can not be separated? Are those melted plastic rivets that connect the sections?

I made a set out for sheet metal covered and shaped with foam, then covered with leather.
Just double sticky it on.
I'll try to put some pics up for you later this week.
