Didn't you state that Thomas Knight actually installed a system on the crossfire? Maybe that was from another thread?

I read on the Thomas Knight site that it was simply an extended shaft on a replacement alternator that allowed the existing belt to drive this 'supercharger'. I do not understand how you figure you would need more batteries for this type of installation.
On his 'electrical supercharger' system, then yes you would need the additional batteries to allow for the electrical drain during operation and a second alternator to recharge those extra batteries. The electrical supercharger system that they have utilizes several high RPM starter motors to turn the impeller(s) of the supercharger and are a serious amperage draw.
I to enjoy your posts x'ed, I am enjoying them now... we all need to keep everyone on track and try to avoid confusion on this stuff so the correct information is presented so it can be evaluated for the best benefit of the forum users.

Yes, he did one system on a crossfire in 2005. No one know whose it is except that it was a silver one. Yeah it sounds like b.s. I honestly don’t care and it makes me mad that Knights web site sucks and is out dated but he promised me pictures and info for us to analyze/criticize.
Now don’t disregard the link I posted on the installation instructions because that answers your question about Blow off valve and other parts that might make this system really kick some butt for 2.2K - 3K.

A small supercharger pushing 8 PSI = Very fast turbine speed. That means a very hot turbine. A hot turbine means hot air, and no Aftercooler/Intercooler was mentioned anywhere in this post. The supercharger would be running off what, one air filter? And where would that air filter be positioned exactly... A supercharger is supposed to give you high power at low to medium rpm and no lag. At slow speeds your air filter will be sucking in all the hot air from inside your engine bay, heating the air up even more on acceleration by the high speed turbine, directly into your engine... Until you reach a decent speed where cold air rushes through the grill into your air filter your will probably be getting some pretty lacking performance, possibly even worse than turbo lag... Now if somehow you can install that aftercooler/intercooler, and position the air filter in a decent spot somewhere in the front of the engine bay... Hey at least you have bragging rights that you have a supercharged Crossfire though eh?

your posts are a joke...explain to me how a proven 3 second drop in quarter mile times and a 95 whp increase on a dyno are disputable. you guys are ridiculous, the same people that kill every mention of a mod and sway everyone away from doing any serious mods. until you can prove it doesn't work, then why offer your opinions. thomas knight is a respected and patented engineer. get some proof to back up your claims. you and "the kid".

I agree with X'ed, and who every gets this mod is going to be as fast as a SRT6.
I don't see why dynamics a senior member who I respect, has to come in here and say that this thread is a joke. Look around this is the only interesting thing we have talked about for a while, every one is talking about the same old stuff (buy or sale xfires) there is nothing wrong with that, but we have the right to study the Thomas Knight ESC.
Although the ESC follow the basic rules of a supercharger, it is a very unique system and all that we are asking is for people to be well informed about it so we don not have pages of junk.

Why are we wasting our time discussing this goofy supercharger setup? Why don't you guys purchase a Paxton supercharger and build up from there! They are proven equipment and are well built.
Also Thomas Knight doesn't have any specs or CFM numbers to back his claims. So until then this is all Snake oil racing!

I am so confused. 
I am thinking about moding my xfire but everytime I read these forums someone has swayed opinions. What I would like to know is, will this Thomas Knight be like the turbos that I hear from other cars that give that hiss sound from the bypass? For some reason I love that sound and would be happy if this setup could do that as well:
I am looking into other mods, like ECU chips, ect... but would like to have this turbo installed first before getting any mods.
