Default Side Grill Removal

I'm was just wondering if anyone has removed the side grills from their Crossfire for any reason. The reason I'm asking is I would like to remove mine to get the piece behind the three grills out and send it out to be chromed. I was looking around trying to see how to get to the back side and it looks like I'd have to take out the fender well. I may see if the local Harley shop will send it where they have customer's things sent. I have also contacted a place called "4CHROME" for an estimate, still waiting for them to get back with me.

I think it's attached by 'double sided tape'.
Do a search, if you haven't already - it's mentioned somewhere.

Cool Re: Side Grill Removal

They are held on with double face tape or adhesive. They are also all one piece, the little black piece is what I assume you want to get chromed.

There is a set on e-bay right now I was looking at and they do appear to be in one piece. I just figured the back part was somehow fastened to the three grill pieces.

Could you give me the name and phone number of the chroming company. I have been trying to find someone to chrome my roll bars and door handles. Please p.m. me.
