i made a mock up of them and they would fit at a an angle... they have a built in venturi which is very desirable. their least desirable trait is the use of the k&n oiled filter (it can harm the MAF sensor if enough oil makes its way down the intake path ... very common thing with k&n filters ... even if you oil it yourself sparingly unlike the factory) ...
Good to know, I found more information (than is available on the K&N site) on another site a couple days back... Maybe they've condensed into a real product?

Well, I tried to purchase 2 from eBay and my purchase was refunded with the seller claiming that "they were all damaged during shipping". Which is clearly B.S., he obviously just didn't meet the quota he needed to place an order with K&N.
Real CAI Attempt 2:
They are available for $108 each through Amazon. I ordered up 2 of them, but it says that they will ship (from Amazon) in 2 weeks. I'll let you know how they fit when they arrive (right!).

i'll still stick with my dry filters but would be less hesitant to use at least K&Ns oiled filters now.
